I love the ambiance of the old buildings in DTW (downtown Willoughby for those who are not from the area) and this store is no exception. I stopped for some baked goods after a breakfast across the street at Crepes in the City (reviewed prior). I ordered..to go mind you.. A brown sugar scone that the cashier assured me tasted like a poptart only better. It was nothing like a poptart but in a good way. Not nearly as sickeningly sweet. It's a scone after all. Next was a small fudge donut. Ehhh. Dime a dozen flavor. Then asiago bagel w a ridiculous $1 cream cheese. I mean an entirr 8oz brick of cream cheese is only a buck retail. The bagel was ok, but just ok. The most odd thing was it was a to go order that required no cutting or toasting..any preparation im fact, BUT I had to wait for someone else to make the order and present it to me. 5 minutes. Huh? I was the only one...
Read moreUgh, our hunt for great coffee continues. My caramel coffee was subpar. The espresso was weak and the caramel wasn't mixed in properly so I couldn't taste it until the very end. If you want to stray from that, fine but you should really add a description then because this was steamed chocolate milk, no chocolate sauce or cinnamon and a ton of cayenne sprinkled on top, making it so unpleasant. Our order was already messed up once before we noticed this issue so we didn't feel comfortable asking for it to be remade again.
On top of that, we didn't notice until too late that this business has cop positive and Christian memorabilia. Definitely not the type of business we would normally support so we will avoid...
Read moreI am breastfeeding a baby with a severe dairy intolerance, therefor I can’t have anything with dairy. I rarely eat out because of this but figured I would give Fiona’s a try because I’ve heard good things. I got a Turkey wrap and asked if their Mayo contained diary. The girl at the registered said yes so I told her I had an intolerance and cannot have Mayo on it and to please make sure there was no dairy. She said she would and I even told her again how important it was there was no dairy. I looked at the wrap when I got it and took a bite trusting that my dietary restrictions were honored. NOPE. Mouth full of Mayo. This caused my baby to have an extremely upset stomach. If I had a dairy allergy this could have resulted in an emergency room visit. Would never...
