We are what I consider, "regulars" as we stop here at least once per week. We've never had an issue until last night. We came for our usual pizza and beer and sat at the bar as we normally do. We were greeted rather quickly and received our first beverage in a timely fashion, this is where we became transparent. It was as if we didn't exist. There were two girls behind the bar, one we've seen a few times, the other we've never seen before. It took the girls much longer to get to us for the second round. It was slightly busy, but we've been there on busier nights and the service had been pretty consistent. We noticed that after some of the bartenders "friends" and other "off shift" employees came in, we became non-existent. The girls flew past us a dozen times without even a glance to see if we were out of beer or wanted to order food. They were, however, very attentive to their friends. We asked for a menu, we picked what we wanted within 5 minutes....We sat the menus close to the edge of the bar indicating that we were finished looking at it. I tried getting the girls' attention a few times, but they were focused on the others at the bar, drinking shots and having a good time which I don't have a problem with, just don't ignore the other paying customers. I looked at my watch when I put the menu's down, after 15 minutes of not being acknowledged (by the way our beer was empty at this point) and not being able to flag one of the two girls down to place an order, I finally had to stand up and slightly bend over the bar to get someones attention. Then while trying to order our food, it was as if the bartender was rushing me through it, she kept trying to walk away when I wasn't finished with the order. She was in such a hurry, she didn't put in part of my order! I'm not going to name names as to who the bartenders were because if were the owner, I would expect that all my employees treat each and every customer, whether a friend or a stranger, with the utmost courtesy and respect. My boyfriend was so thoroughly upset, he said we will never come back. I can only hope this was a one time incident or you will lose more than just these...
Read moreThis was my first time at Frank and Tony's Place. It was very disappointing visit. I would rate the overall experience as poor. Our initial encounter was with the waitress, who seemed, well to put it politely, somewhat distracted, could not keep the order straight, could not answer questions about the menu and seemed to be bouncing all over the place. She in fact got the draught beer order wrong and served them to wrong person. The beer was served in a plastic glass. The menu prices on the menu were about 20% higher than the online menu. A significant discrepancy even in today's market. The grouper sandwich on line was $9.99, the menu the price was $11.99. The price increase I could find acceptable, but the breaded fish was over cooked and deep-fried to a dark brown color. The menu indicated the boneless wings were $10.99 what came to the table was five small pieces breaded chicken ( I assume it chicken and previously frozen) with some sauce poured over the pieces served in a little cardboard tray. By any standard I find the price of $2.20 for a 1/4 oz of over cooked chicken excessive. Nothing else was served with the "boneless hot wings" no celery or carrot sticks, had to ask for some dressing to dip the chicken and there was an additional charge for the little cup of dressing/dip. When I asked the waitress about the charge for the five pieces of "boneless hotwings" her response was that she doesn't set the prices... When I asked to see the menu, interestingly there was no mention of the number of pieces in the boneless hotwings order on the menu for $10.99. Needless to say I will not be returning to Frank and Tony's place to dine or drink nor will I recommend it to any one else. The restaurant seems to have an usual crowd who I would have to assume doesn't mind poor service, poor quality food, served in a manner more suitable to soup kitchen than a tavern and questionable pricing practices. I you have a taste for boneless wings I would suggest you might want to consider McDonalds, or BurgerKIng the prices are definitely more reasonable, the quality will be consistent, and the service...
Read moreI attended this establishment to celebrate the birth of my first child and number one mate's purchase of a home. Upon entrance, I was forced to display my photo identity to prove I rode a Schwinn bicycle and gauged my ears. We then picked the only open seats at the bar and were blanketed by belligerent hipsters. We then spoke to the asian quarter master and placed an order for what was believed to be a delicious pizza pie. The next three hours were the bane of my existence. For the next 180 minutes I was forced to be elbowed, and subkject to a temperamental lummox of a woman who insisted on arm wrestling me for elbow space at the supposed leisurely bar. With the lumbering oaf to the left and the macho man Randy Savage wannae-be to the right downing lemon drops and budweisers like ;Slim Jimst, the environment was understandably beyond unbearable. As I questioned my serving wench, "Oy, when my pizza gon be dun", she simply replied while hoisting an imperial Japanese flag "Remember Hiroshima". 3 hours later I received my pizza, which was quite tasty yet filled with the flavor of shame and hipsterdom. While eating my pizza I was beleaguered by legions of hipsters about all the plants and animals which were being disposed to provide me with such a delicious meal. Due to the immense strength gained from increment amounts of sausage and pepperoni I was able to fend off the waves of Hipsters to escape Frank and Tony's. I was able to escape the establishment as the Asian warlord began throwing ninja stars and shot glasses at us. All and all, the food was scrumptious, the service was beyond terrible, and the atmosphere made me want to burn all vinyl I'd ever come in contact...
