I was in town visiting from Denver , Colorado with my girlfriend and we saw a tik tok on this amazing Italian restaurant so we decided to go for her bday. We arrived and we're seated. We started with the meatballs and risotto balls. They came out pretty quick and we're amazing. We anxiously waited and watched as others recieved there table side dinner being prepared. Everyone watch and enjoyed. Finally it came our turn but it was a different person preparing our table side. Out came the wheel of cheese, poured in the alcohol and lit the fire he mixed and mixed and no one brought him the pasta like all the other tables, so he stood there, then hit added more alcohol and started another fire mixing again...still no one brought the pan of pasta to him...we sat there as he walked to the back and returned still with NO pan of pasta but added more alcohol and started yet another fire.....finally another server came around the corner with the pan of pasta and poured it into the wheel of cheese. He mixed and mixed then plated. One plate all the pasta was placed and given to my date, I recieved what looked more like a bowl of cheesey soup. The chicken we ordered was forgotten so we went to taste anyways and it was not good, there was this after taste and neither of use could eat, but the chicken was finally brought out several mins after and it was dry and Luke warm. This was nothing like what I was hoping for or expecting. As someone who works as a Chef I try to take in alot of factors....how busy were they....not very busy ....how well trained...seems our server needs alot more as elements to complete table service we're not . I informed a couple of the servers how unbeatable the pasta was and seemed to be ignored. For 132.00 for two people this was a complete slap to the face. I will be making a follow up tik tok on my acct of this restaurant for my 37 thousand followers as I would not come back. I hope other recieve a better experience then did...very disappointing and a complete...
Read moreI usually only complain when I reach a level of being perturbed that I have to say something, and I reached that level upon visiting this place for the first time. I was looking forward to trying CiBi out because I love chicken piccata, something that I have eaten at many Italian restaurants - upscale and casual dining. My complaint isn't about the food so much as it is on their price of Chicken Piccatta. $28 with choice of vegetables or potatoes. I chose veggies. I like mine with pasta so I ordered it to accompany my piccatta. $10 charge for pasta. Now we're up to $38 for a Chicken Piccatta dish that I had so hoped it would come close to the value of its price tag, but it simply did not. In today's prices of 2023, I'd expect to pay $22 tops for their Piccatta with the pasta. I don't want to take away from their food because it is good compared to the very few Italian restaurants around, but my opinion is that they charge high prices for overvalued food as if they were in some trendy metropolitan location with top notch food and service which simply is not so. Everything else seemed to be priced ok, but their main Piccatta dish doesn't achieve the value of the price tag. I'd recommend sticking to the pasta and pizza section of the menu, although I didnt try the other main dishes. The service is on the more professional side compared to nearby similar style dining. I did like that. I guess I'm just sick of prices being too high and quality being stagnant and sometimes worse just because, as demonstrated in our super inflated market, customers will pay for the higher price for dry underwhelming Chicken Piccatta. No thanks for me CiBi. Your pizza...
Read moreI visited Cibi for my second time last night. My intention was to write another review, but Facebook will only let me revise my original review. So here is my second review:
Extremely polite staff welcomed and served us. We had a few questions about the wine/food menus, and were answered with recommendations.
From my last visit, I already knew I was starting with the meatballs. The meatballs, sauce and bread served with this dish is all you need for an enjoyable evening. My next visit will be trying something new(never a bad idea at this restaurant) or if I will have four orders of the meatballs with a few bottles of wine. It is going to be a very hard choice.
The lasagna was the choice for my meal. Again like any menu item, it was perfect. I wish I was a better food critic to properly describe the tomato sauce in the lasagna. To find out, you will need to try it. You will not be disappointed.
For anyone that has not been to this Italian restaurant, it cannot be compared to Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. This is truly an authentic Italian menu/food made by real Italians that could not be more hospitable and polite. They are truly happy to see you.
On a scale of 1 to 10, this place is a 12. It is an absolute must; a hidden gem.
A tip of advice for anyone going to Cibi to dine: do not ask for fettuccine alfredo. This is not your typical American suburban “Italian restaurant”. This is...
