I saw a post about Chicken Salad Chick having customer appreciation day and to come in for a free scoop of the original chicken salad. I had driven past Chicken Salad Chick many times and thought about going in, but didn't. I finally did. The parking lot always looked a little crowded and a little bit of a challenge to get in and out of, but when I went at 3:30 in the afternoon it was the perfect time, it wasn't hard to get in or out. I was afraid they'd run out of the free, wall supplies last, chicken salad, but they didn't, they had plenty at 3:30 which was great since they opened at 10:30 am! I decided that I'd go ahead and order some of their chicken salads to give them a try because I had heard good things. I tried the grape salad, which is like a sweet treat, and almost like dessert. It was delicious. I also tried a chicken salad trio to go, I got the jalapeno chicken salad, the barbecue chicken salad and the cranberry chicken salad. I think they have fancier names on the menu are the Buffalo Barclay, the Jalapeno Holly and the Cranberry Kelly are the fancy names. They were all delicious. I really liked the jalapeno one the best because it had so much flavor. The trio came in a to-go box, it had a pickle, and the best tasting silver dollar size cookie I've had in a long time and I got my free scoop of the original chicken salad for $13.50ish. I had heard that it was expensive, I had heard that the portion size was not giant, but I was pleased. I waited for my to-go order on a nice bench in a calm environment, the manager came to check on me and make sure I had gotten my free chicken salad. Everything was bright, fun, the logo and artwork is upbeat, original, and fun. I wished I could have stayed and possibly tried their pimento cheese options, their soups, and they had what looked to be an awesome chocolate chip rice crispy treat. So needless to say I will be going back to this venue again and I encourage you to patronize it. It has a neat history of starting an Alabama in their football town, and it has been expanding ever since. I've heard that they hope to get into like an additional 15 franchises just this year alone. I can see why it's so popular. I hope you go and that you enjoy it as...
Read moreI literally could eat here every single day. I absolutely love their chicken salads and sides. It's so good, fresh and always consistent (never had a bad "batch" of chicken salad). I always get the pick 3, and for the choices they offer an additional scoop of chicken salad which I always get and eat as a meal later or split it with someone. So, basically you can get a chicken salad sandwich and two scoops of chicken salad or a sandwich with a scoop of chicken salad along with one of their other fresh side dish options. The choice is yours, and it's only just less than $12 for the pick 3. There's also a pick 2 for just under $9. Very reasonably priced. Many choices for the chicken salad offerings made to accommodate your preferred type of chicken salad and to please your taste buds. They have many options to choose from, and if you're undecided they'll let you try/sample any of the chicken salads on the menu. Very quick service and the employees are some of the nicest in the biz and give Chick-fil-a a run for their money as far as customer service. Very friendly and helpful if you have questions or difficulty deciding on what to order. Dine in (inside or outside patio) or take out, as well as the ability to order online. They even give you a complimentary cookie with each order! It truly is one of the best restaurants ever with some of the best chicken salads known to man. I absolutely adore this place and eat here A LOT (even ate here yesterday). I 100% recommended eating here as it is delicious, fresh, clean, efficient, accurate, inexpensive and welcoming. I love, love, LOVE it! Chicken Salad Chick...
Read moreI'm impressed! Three of us had lunch the other day. Our friend suggested this place. I'm glad we went, as it was our first time there. Our friend told us the chicken salad was the best in the area.
Right outside the door was an advertisement for poblano soup, which was a limited time offer. I had to try it!
We checked out the menu and I decided on the savory Lauryn's Lemon Basil scoop with a side of the poblano soup. The fruity and nutty chicken salads sounded too sweet for my taste.
You order at the counter and take a number to your table where the staff delivers your food. The place has a Southern home feel, which I really liked.
The soup was excellent, creamy but not heavy, with chicken, diced peppers, corn, black beans and lime juice. Really flavorful and delicious. The chicken salad was wonderful with the basil and lemon flavor throughout. You can taste that it was fresh-made.
One friend ordered the Classic Carol as a sandwich and the same soup; and my other friend ordered the Fruity Fran with a side of grape salad. They loved their lunch too. My friend with the sandwich said it was too big so the next time, she'll go with a scoop and side.
With our meal, everyone is given a complimentary mini buttercream cookie. What a nice touch. All of this for just under $10. A real bargain!!!
This place has daily soup specials with two choices each day. I'd like to go back on a Saturday to try their Chicken Artichoke Florentine.
My friends and I are happy to know that they are opening a new location in Leland where we live! We won't have to drive the distance...
