If you’re able to Wilmington often and will typically stay overnight at least one night. I keep an eye on the rates and will often stay at whichever of the nice places is the most reasonable. This week, it was the residence in landfall. It’s the first time that I’ve stayed in this location. It’s very close to shopping and restaurants so it was incredibly convenient. The hotel itself was good, and my room specifically was quite decent. It was a king suite that had a kitchenette area in it with a refrigerator and sink. It had a nice little seating area that I used while working last night which was really excellent. The room itself was very clean and nice. I had the breakfast buffet this morning. The woman who was restocking it and cooking was absolutely lovely. She was incredibly sincere, asking me how everything was and if there was anything that she could do for me. She was very genuine and extremely nice. The buffet itself wasn’t fancy, but everything was good. The eggs with the cheese in them were my favorite part. They also have a little waffle station, which is an absolute nicety. The area that the hotel was located in was relatively quiet and seemed very safe. I wouldn’t have misgivings about my wife or family staying there independently.

The guy at the front desk was unfriendly, refused to look at my identification but made me take my identification out an hour later. He told me that my room was not available but I witnessed multiple people check in ahead of me while I waited. Turns out that he was confused because my room had been upgraded but was not available. I explained that he should have offered me the option of the next available room versus making me wait an hour for an upgrade that I did not want. He never apologized or showed regret. I think his name is Tay. They only have one elevator but it is beaten up since being used for guest and maintenance. My room was hot, almost no cold air and a sign says if temperatures is turned down, the AC will stop working. The furniture is past its useful life and has popcorn ceilings. The breakfast was okay.

Me and my family are staying at this hotel. We went into the Gym room, and this flimsy stand holding the weight balls and yoga balls fell over when one finger touches it. My shoe got stuck underneath the stand and crushed my shoe. My sister tried to help me pry it out, and one of the 7 pound weight ball fell RIGHT on the back of her head. Causing a SERIOUS concussion. This is UNACCEPTABLE. Not to mention, the clueless and creepy workers lurking around doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Lastly, a few individuals staying at this hotel complain that there are BED BUGS. And the rancid breakfast, and the BUG FILLED outdoor pool they have. Please properly organize this BUG INFESTED AND DIRTY hotel.

This was the best vacation we ever had! The management , front of house ,and staff were so welcoming , friendly and helpful. The entire place was beautiful , the pool was warm and very clean , lots of lounge chairs and tables w umbrellas. Endless pool towels and floats, pool toys . Two huge grills , which we took advantage off , and had a few barbecues, it was so nice. Lounge couches. On site Gym , complimentary breakfast every morning , and it was always different. The breakfast was delicious!!! I am officially a waffle girl. You make your own waffles. There were so many choices , protien , bagels , muffins, home fries, cereal , yogurt , fresh fruit , bacon , sausage , oat milk, oatmeal and don’t event get me started on the tomato frittata,or quiche YUM! ,coffee, tea , juice , milk. THE WORKS. Breakfast is from 6:30 to 9:30 weekdays ,, 7 to 10 on weekends. We had a studio with with a King size bed , it had a pull out sofa bed and a full kitchenette. The room was beautiful and very clean. Our bed was so comfortable.Pillows and comforter were so soft and clean ,, the mattress was great. I didn’t want to get out in the morning. đŸ„° The vanity was a woman’s dream!! N the shower was very spacious. Definitely room for two. 😉 It had shampoo , conditioner and body wash dispensers , full size. Our kitchen had everything in it , silverware, bowls , plates , knifes, cooking utensils , dishwasher , full frig, stovetop , microwave , toaster. We brought a lot from home , thinking we would need it ,, but we didn’t
they really thought of everything there were sponges , dish towels , dish soap , little salt n pepper shakers , pots ect. They really paid attention to the details. The TV was a good size. This resort had a basket ball court and a place to play pickle ball or tennis , witch ever you prefer. We were on the first floor , we had a balcony with chairs that faced out to the pool. The property felt very secluded w a brick wall around the pool area , also the foliage was very tropical. We asked for more pillows , blankets , towels ect ,, staff was happy to supply them. Housekeeping cleaned our room , made beds refreshed all towels , took out the garbage. They did a great job!!! |We lived in Wilmington, North Carolina for seven years, so we are very familiar with all the areas, unfortunately, we moved back home to Pennsylvania and we miss Wilmington every day., so we were so grateful to be back , it’s been 5 years. The reason that I bring this up ,,is the location of this extended stay,,, It is at Landfall , it is one of the most safe , prestigious , and beautiful neighborhoods hands down !!!! When you pull out of the parking lot of the resort and you look left, you see the gates of the gated community called landfall , need I say more. You are surrounded by wonderful restaurants , 30. Seconds from the supermarket, and it takes 5 minutes to get to Wrightsville Beach. Location , location 🙂. Also it is a pet friendly establishment, we did not have a pet , but the people next-door had a dog and we never heard it through our walls. |If you’re wondering if this is a good place for children, THE ANSWER IS YEs YEs YASSS. We brought our six-year-old son, and our 17-year-old daughter. They both loved the hotel and the outdoor resort area and pool. We would come off the beach and go straight to the outdoor shower located at the pool , shower off poolside and then jump straight into the warm pool
it was great!!! We would be out ant the pool til we went to bed. It closes ant ten . Our six-year-old was up before us every morning, waking us up, saying it’s time for breakfast. He loved the breakfast. It Was to cute. Parking was good. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I felt like I was treated like royalty. The only neg I could possibly think of is the sofa bed was alittle uncomfortable, but let’s be honest most of them are. They gave us extra blankets , so that was a great help and took care of the issue . We loved our stay. We can’t thank the staff enough! Oooo yeah n I almost forgot ,,, The price was phenomenal at $134.00 a night. This place really can’t be beat. Thank you...

Recently spent a week at the Residence Inn Landfall on a business trip with my dog. It was nice to find a hotel in the area that takes larger dogs, and on check in they explained their dog policies, took my cell number in case there were any issues, and gave me a magnet to stick on my door so housekeeping would know to skip my room with a dog inside. My King Studio suite was a good size for me and the dog. Pretty comfortable sofa, a desk/chair to work, a kitchenette with everything except an oven, and a small dining table. The kitchen was pretty well stocked, down to a roll of paper towels and an individually-sized salt and pepper shaker. The hotel tv was very small and had a sparse selection of channels, but it did allow you to log in and stream from your own personal streaming accounts (netflix, etc.). The hotel is very dated as others have reported in their reviews. It is in need of some updates, particularly kitchen/bath flooring. I thought the one elevator in the center of the hotel was pretty inadequate for a hotel of this size with 30+ rooms on each of three floors. When I made my reservation I noted that I would be bringing a dog. Despite this, and despite requesting a first floor room or a room near stairs to take my dog out upon check in, I was not accommodated, and worse, was given a room in the middle of the second floor away from both stairways with the only option to go outside being the single elevator which is nice to avoid when you have a larger dog that other customers may prefer not to be around. There is a large mowed area behind the hotel where we were directed to walk dogs, however there were no poo bags in the hotel container (thankfully I brought my own), just a trash can. Some guests apparently had no bags, as there was evidence some people were not picking up after their pets. There were also fire ants on the hill, which need to be treated--not ideal for a dog walking area. The hotel has a nice breakfast area, large enough for lots of people, and mixing up their hots somewhat each day. The food was par for the course for a hotel, nothing that exciting. All of the staff I interacted with at this location were helpful and nice, no issues. For some reason they were working on the room (313) above mine (213) while I was there, and during the day there was a lot of noise, sliding furniture around and running loud drills. I took the elevator up to see what was going on, and saw a worker in there with a drying fan. The floors here are pretty thin, so if you aren't on the third floor, you will hear the people above you under normal circumstances let alone construction. I did call the front desk to inquire how long their construction would be going on, to see if I needed to move to another room. The drilling stopped after I called, but the general noise went on for a few days. Again, not sure why you put a guest in a room under a loud construction site, but it is what it is. The location of this hotel is quite good, near a ton of restaurants, shops, Wrightsville Beach, and a Food Lion. All within walking distance or a short drive. For those with dogs, you can walk into the large shopping center adjacent to the hotel and down the sidewalks, all the way to a condo/apartment complex that has more sidewalks (and dog poo bags on poles). It was nice to be able to walk my dog off grounds for a little variety over a week's time. There is also a county arboretum nearby and the city's Summer Rest Trail which are other places you can take your dog to walk, within five minutes drive each. I didn't use the hotel pool, but they have one and a gym, so pretty well outfitted. I got the impression this wasn't a tourist hotel so much as a contractor hotel, as the parking was filled most nights with business trucks. I was told film industry folks. It was quiet enough, though, no issues with other customers. All in all, it's a decent dated hotel that will work for certain circumstances. Not sure I would stay here again if I didn't have my dog, but it served that...
