So, I really wanted this to be the deli I have been searching for in this area, but it did not live up to the hype. Firstly, the atmosphere is perfect, no issues at all. The staff were friendly, helpful, and they definitely kept the place tidy. However, sandwiches are excessively overpriced for their size (I believe a small roll is the same price as a hero), and the bread is extremely lackluster. For this area, bread is usually pretty bad in delis, but honestly, walmart rolls are better quality than the ones here. The meat is high quality, I believe Boars Head, but the bread is such a detraction, and the portion was very small for the price. I was surprised they had knish on the menu, but when it came out soggy and split in half weirdly, it made me wish they hadn’t offered it at all. In total, two sandwiches, two bags of chips, two drinks and a knish, costs about $38. You could get the same items, better quality and a lot bigger, in NY/NJ for the same...
Read moreAfter dropping some friends off at the airport we decided to stop in and have breakfast, we were looking forward to eating here because the menu was had everything we were familiar with in a Deli growing up on Eastern L.I. . We ordered breakfast. 1. s.e.c. and 1 hungry man breakfast. The first issue was the sandwich came with 1 egg we're use to 2 eggs and scrambled unless otherwise ordered. No worries, coffee was good, the hungry man was the real issue literally 5 small pieces of home fries (wasn't worth putting them on the flat top) 1 slice of bacon , 1 slice of ham, we asked for scrambled eggs and we got breakfast in a omelet style. Not authentic at all, more like ( ny style ) not a real thing. Maybe someone forgot their L.I. roots in the back 🤔We may come back because it's a nice breakfast spot, we won't expect the breakfast we miss growing up on L.I. not a complaint an...
Read morePlace was good, but not great. But how much can you expect from a "New York deli" in wilmington? I ordered the classic egg & cheese on a roll and was disappointed it came on a plain roll, not poppy seed. I've never seen a place in NY not serve a breakfast sandwich on a poppy seed roll. Also, the roll tasted like it came from a pack from Wal-Mart. I thought the homefries would come on the side of the sandwich but it was put on it. I still liked it, but it would be good to note that it's on top the sandwich. The banana nut muffin was pretty good. The girl working the front really lacked in customer service though and forgot that she had already rang me up 2 minutes after.. Luckily the food was pretty cheap and not that bad but like I said it was...
