I am so disappointed in my experience with round bagels today. I placed a mobile order at 10:15 through their website not through DoorDash. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a salted bagel, 2 doughnuts, and the islander bagel with steak. When I arrived I paid for my order at 10:49 and was told there were no doughnuts and no salted bagels. I was okay with the changes to my order because I know how busy it can get in here, I was told my order would be made next. I felt like my order was taking a long time to be fulfilled and asked about it 3 separate times. I did not receive my order until 11:20. When I was handed my order the shift leader said I should have told her my name instead of my order number but I did tell her specifically my name and order number the second time asked for my order and she didn’t even look for it. She said “sorry” and walked away. This was such poor customer service, I left the shop with nothing other than the sorry because I had already been waiting a half hour pls the expected wait time and needed to get home and feed my daughter.. I order from rounds every Sunday. I have dealt with my order missing eggs or bacon the past two visits and not complained but this was completely unacceptable. And my food was cold and the wrap was soggy due to the extended wait. Unfortunately I do not think I will be returning.
UPDATE: After returning to this establishment during their downtime to allow them the opportunity to make it right the owner offered a discount on my next purchase. I find it highly presumptuous to assume someone would chose to support your business after being treating the way I was today. I went home and ate the food that I waited on for over an hour and wrote this review. I then returned to the establishment and asked for a manager to allow them to make it right. When the owner herself decided to take absolutely no accountability and push the blame onto me the customer I asked for a refund and stated I would not be returning. I clearly paid for my order if you had to refund it so I’m not sure how I can in looking for free meals. The owner clearly does not care about customer service whatsoever ever. It sounds like if you have a lot of dissatisfied customers if there are really that many people asking for refund on their orders. My issue was never the quality of the food but the quality of the customer service and people who own this establishment. This owner is extremely defensive towards anyone who has an issue with her establishment 0/10 do not recommend. Absolutely not about the money 100 percent about...
Read moreOn a drizzly, cheerless morning that begged for the comfort of a warm bagel, I found myself at Rounds, ready to snag my usual. But just as I placed my order, fate intervened: I was called back to work and forced to abandon my bagel dreams. Resigned to my hunger, I left, thinking that was the end of my story. But little did I know, my tale of a simple bagel pickup was about to turn into an epic saga thanks to Chris, the boldest soul this establishment has ever known.
Chris, as it turned out, was only two doors down. He could have simply handed me my bagel. But destiny had other plans. Because at that exact moment, miles away, my cat, Sir Bartholomew Whiskerford, had somehow managed to climb high into a tree—a tree engulfed in flames. Chris, sensing the distress of both cat and customer, sprang into action. Without a moment’s hesitation, he bolted past my place of work and into the wilds, where Sir Bartholomew Whiskerford yowled from a smoldering maple tree.
Witnesses say he didn’t bother with a ladder, nor did he flinch at the blazing branches above him. Instead, with the grace of an acrobat and the valor of a knight, he scaled that tree, plucked Sir Bartholomew Whiskerford from the flames, and soothed the startled creature with a whispered, “Fear not, noble feline.” As the crowd cheered, Chris simply dusted off his hands and turned his heroic gaze back to my place of work.
And then, as if on cue, he appeared in the door way surrounded by a golden light, the bagel still warm and perfectly toasted. He knelt, took my hand, and with a look that could melt even the coldest of bagel spreads, pressed a tender kiss to my knuckles. “Good morrow, my sweet lady,” he intoned softly before vanishing like a mist over the morning hills.
In light of this chivalrous deed, I am calling for Chris to be awarded the prestigious sum of five dollars. Truly, Rounds has a legend among its ranks, and I’ll never look at my bagels the...
Read moreI usually go to Beach Bagels in Wrightsville Beach & they are so accommodating + friendly even when they are crazy busy. Today I went to Rounds and although my bagel was okay, I wanted to get an egg+cheese & they couldn’t be bothered to accommodate to my diet. I am a vegetarian, most places have no problem with quickly wiping down a section of the grill to not cross contaminate. When I asked the cashier if that was something they could do for me before preparing my bagel she quickly shut me down and said “no” which was very unprofessional...poor customer care/service. Didn’t even bother to ask whoever was cooking. Anyways I work in the service industry & I also find it very tacky the cashier asks “Do you wanna leave a tip?” to every customer she rushes to cash out. You should never ask someone or assume they want to leave a tip. It’s just a no no. Just a suggestion... like I said I work in the service industry (not food) but I would be EMBARRASSED to EVER ask someone for a tip. Even after a 2 hour service. It’s just not proper etiquette. But your cashier who can’t even be bothered to accommodate any customer can ask “Do you wanna leave me a tip?” With every 10 second interaction she /he has with someone. It’s embarrassing. I happily leave Beach Bagels tips because they don’t even push to ask. They always accommodate me regardless. Do better. Yeah you get business from college students who really don’t care, but my encounter with your business today it was purely...
