Was picking up an order for a delivery company. There was one person ahead of me. I had my bag, so the cashier knew what I was there for. She didn't acknowledge me at all. When she was taking payment for the man in front of me, whom I had been pleasantly chatting with while she was in the back doing whatever she was doing while we waited, she told him she needed to get some one dollar bills for his change. So, she went and did that. At this point, I'm standing at the counter beside the man waiting for his change, obviously the next person waiting to be helped. A large family walked in while she was giving the man his change and instead of acknowledging my existence, she turns to them and starts to take their order. I said "Excuse me, I've been standing here patiently for over 5 minutes now, can you please help me? Or let me know what's going on with my order?" She turned extremely aggressively towards me and said "I SEE THE BAG! I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE HERE FOR! There's only two of us here (very untrue based on my ability to count and see) so YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO WAIT!, OKAY!?!" All the time she's yelling this at me, she's waving her arms wildly and moving her head side to side with as much attitude as her small frame could muster. I told her "You could have just acknowledged me and told me my order wasn't ready yet instead of ignoring me. But okay!" Not a minutes later, another delivery driver walks in right up to the counter and she obviously knew him because he didn't have his delivery bag but she immediately asks him what his order # was and hands him his bag. I had been there 10 minutes by this time. She ignored me and then yelled at me for simply asking a reasonable question but his order is ready RIGHT when he walks in the door? I don't know what her problem with me was since that was the first time I'd ever been there but that is the WORST I have ever been treated as a delivery driver for any company. And I've worked for many. I will never accept an order from that place or get any of my own food from there. That's for sure. As a delivery driver, you do get treated badly by some restaurant staff. Like you are less than. But c'mon....you work at McDonald's. Get off your high horse and do your job fairly and without yelling at people simply trying to do theirs. She definitely should not be in customer service. She belongs in the kitchen, away from civilized people....
Read moreUpon arriving at the drive thru to pick up my mobile order, the employee greeted me by saying, with sass, “I just took your order so what do you want?” I explained that I had a mobile order and had arrived to pick it up. She took my code and I pulled around, and the young lady at the first window instructed me to pull up to the second window. I did so. The next employee was nicer at first, but would eventually be rude to me. She read my order to me, and it was incorrect. Before I could pull up the order on my phone to verify, she handed me a bag of food. She handed me my Sprite, which spilled onto my door and into my lap. I did not mind this, as I was very eager to leave. After driving away, I checked my bag to find I was missing a Medium fry, and that they had given me a small fry with my medium combo instead of a medium fry. I went inside to receive my items. I waited at the counter for a while, and another employee came to ask me what I needed. I explained that I was missing two medium fries, but one was because I was given a small fry instead of a medium fry. She responded by repeating that back to me then adding “so you’re not really missing two fries.” I affirmed her and apologized for the confusion, then also said “I’m not trying to give anyone a hard time.” She walked away as I was speaking. She began getting the fries, but spoke softly to other employees, one being the second window employee, who then gave me a look like a killed her daughter, a look I haven’t seen since I broke my mother’s expensive vase in the third grade. I got my fries and thanked the employee. I understand well the difficulties working in the food industry, but I was the least difficult person they served today and everyone I spoke with was just bitter toward me and that sucked. If they had said nothing to me or just shot straight, I’d have understood the rush and stress they’re under. But golly that was a nasty and unfriendly group of people I interacted with....
Read moreGone are the days of employees treating their customers with respect. I went here today with my child who thanked a woman working there twice for his meal. When she spoke over him the second time, I mentioned to her that he said thank you, once again ignored with a “NEXT” as she brushed us off to take someone’s order (I should mention that they weren’t busy, it was almost 330 in the afternoon not a pig time and there was two other customers in the restaurant at the time) . I don’t think that we should be making excuses for adults behaving poorly especially when it involves a child. I spoke a little louder and said “actually not next, I think you mean you’re welcome”. Which yes, would typically come off brash to me however, after being ignored three different times while instilling good manners to my eight-year-old, I felt a little irritated. I understand the service industry is hard to work in, but being a former bar and restaurant manager myself, I really thought this was an excusable. Especially since after that, she decided to come out from behind the register to let me know just how rude she thought I was. In return I let her know that my son had said thank you two times without being acknowledged and I think as an adult it’s good to set an example. This provoked this woman to basically verbally assault me and continue doing so so loudly that she could be heard trailing back from dining room to the kitchen. Physical threats were thrown in there as well. I kept my calm, never raised my voice and politely asked another employee if I could have her name to call corporate, except that employer said she didn’t know her name but they call her “J”. Okay…sure. I called the corporate number and left a complaint. I’m still waiting to hear back from someone but I feel like everybody should know about the incredibly disgruntled employee at...
