Union Street Pub — Restaurant in Wilmington

I wanted to like this place so bad but today it just was not in my favor. I get to the bar to order a drink and I ask the lady to give me the drink menu. She goes to count money then the guy bartender asked if I need anything and I replied the lady said she would bring me a drink menu. He goes to get the menu instead. I already put a to go order in for linguine with pasta. Everything was fine until I checked the bag and noticed there were no clams! I go to the bar and I see the lady bartender again talking to the guy and she turns her head towards me and rolls her eyes. So I said excuse me?! She turns around quickly with the guy and I said there’s no clams in my linguine. She says oh really!? I said back oh really!! Been here multiple times and the service is subpar especially toward ethnic people. When asked for a breakdown of one of the menu items, i was incorrectly informed multiple times. And the site doesn’t reflect the prices of the menu items. There’s a 3 dollar up charge for substituting a side dish with something else. And they gave me the wrong side when i subbed out my 1oz bag of chips for fries. This place is a scam tbh n i wouldn’t recommend anybody who enjoys a true authentic experience to go here bc this place doesn’t offer anything but a facade of good quality food. If I could I would throw this lame excuse of a delicacy to the owner n chefs face n have them watch the rats from their kitchens look in disgust as they scramble to look for something...

I can’t say enough good things about Union Street Pub! The food is absolutely delicious, and their happy hour is hands-down the best I’ve been to. Not only do you get full, but it’s a real bang for your buck, with enough to take home! I ordered a small half cheese, half pepperoni with jalapeños, and it was spot on. Plus, I lucked up and went on a Thursday when cheesesteaks were only $8 (the bread was so soft and the meat was perfectly tender), $5 wings, and $6 Jameson shots! Happy hour runs until 6:30pm, which is perfect. I had two amazing bartenders who were super friendly, and even though I went solo, I ended up chatting with great people the entire time.
