Large selection of items and prices are decent. I shopped here awhile ago, but I have little desire to go back. I noticed that some items had stains or buttons missing once I came home and I washed them and I was putting the item on or ironing it. Yes, it is partly the customer’s responsibility since there are fitting rooms and we can take our time to examine the clothes. I’m just wondering if the staff examines the items carefully before putting them on their racks. I’ve been to numerous consignment stores with similar business models or those that pay cash upfront (while traveling or living in different cities) and I felt comfortable buying clothes, shoes, and handbags without having to inspect them with a magnifying glass. Lastly, their prices do not reflect the defects, if there are any present. Once again, I feel like they take any items as long as they are a specific brand or style and hang them up without inspecting them. Then they charge what they would if the item was in good to excellent condition. I would consider shopping there again, but I would be extra cautious and inspect everything carefully unless the item was...
Read moreThe "managers" who work here are unprofessional, unfriendly, and have a "couldn't care less" attitude. I waited outside with an infant for 20 minutes until they opened at 10am to pick up a check (sitting in their cash register) from months ago (I have 2 kids under 2 and haven't had a chance to pick up). No one was in the store but me and 2 managers and they refused to give me my check for my clothing sold, citing the rule that it's not March 15-20, and refused to make an exception. Again neither were busy, no other customers around and I'm holding an infant. One just shrugged her shoulders and made a smart face with attitude. I was directed to call the owner Stephanie Denning and given her card but when I called the number I reached the same manager who said Sarah wasn't available and had an appointment today. This is a poor way to do business and treat those that are supporting your small business. I certainly won't consign there again. It's certainly not worth the minimal money gained. I had a much better experience at the other...
Read moreThe Fairy Circle is everything you’d hope for and more! This is a store that is very similar to Plato’s closet where customers can bring in seasonal clothing and the ferry Circle will consign them for their customer. My review will be from the perspective of a shopper only… Anytime I have shopped at The Fairy Circle I have been able to find men’s and women’s clothing in all shapes and sizes, for extremely reasonable prices! They even have specials and different offers for every shoppers delight! Upon arriving in Wilmington, a pair of my shoes completely fell apart… I didn’t have $200 to go buy a brand new pair of Nikes so I looked up a couple of thrift store/consignment shops and I wish I had stopped at The Fairy Circle long before I did! Recently, my 12-year-old daughter needed a new variety of clothing and she was able to find most of what she wanted at this awesome store! Oh, and if you spend $100 or more, you get a discount card for your next purchase, you...
