In the past few months I've applied to this location twice after being told by the GM and other employees that they we're definitely hiring for the positions I was seeking and was more than qualified for. The GM seemed very eager to hire me immediately having a brief conversation with me in person where I provided a verbal resume of my experience, and told me to submit my application as soon as possible so that we could start the interview process. I returned the next day to submit my application and was told that she was on a phone call but if I could wait a few mins she would be out to talk to me. So I stayed for about 45 mins or so only to be told that she had to leave for an emergency and would call me to the next day to schedule an interview, which seemed kind of strange because I had worked I that building previously when it was a Ruby Tuesdays, and would have seen her if she had left the building based on where I was sitting...?? However I agreed waited 2 days and didn't hear from her.So I called 3 days in a row only to be given the run around, and by the third day I was told that they weren't able to locate my application and to reapply....? So I decided to seek other options. During that time period I spoke with an acquaintance that had recently quit and was told that they were being selective on who they hired based on gender and race and that was one of the reasons they quit amongst other undesirable issues they experienced while working there...?? Moving forward a few months I decided to give it another shot;because I truly felt that I could be a great asset as well as employee to the company. So about a week a go I called to see if they were still hiring and was told that they were, and to reapply online which I did on Indeed.com. After applying I received 2 emails a few hours later stating that my applications had been viewed and allow at least 2 to 3 days before calling to inquire. So I called today check the status of my applications and the the Manager on duty (Ryan) told me that if I qualified for the positions they would contact me but he never bothered to even ask my name nor the positions I applied for....?? So I ask for the numbers to the corporate office and the District or Regional Manager, and he reluctantly gave me a number to call after trying to convince me that my concerns wouldn't really be treated with urgency....?? I called the number that he gave me 3 times and no one answered nor returned my calls. So I called the local Chamber of Commerce and the Charlotte N. C. location and was instructed by the manager on duty who expressed his disappointment and empathy towards the situation to voice my concern on this platform,& he'd inform his upper management team of my unfortunate experience in an effort to get a proper response.... I'd also like to mention that I'm an African American Male with over 20 years of Restaurant & Hospitality experience...Front of the House, Back of the House,& Management. I'm not trying to take any ones job,nor be a problem. I just want be treated fairly and given an opportunity to utilize my skills in a manner that will not only benefit me,but my employer as well....Thanks in Advance to whom it may concerns for Address...

Read moreOn 8/13/2022 around 510 pm we stopped at this restaurant because Chili's had an hour wait. There were 5 of us. We ordered a coconut shrimp appetizer and when it was brought to us from our waitress "shay" she put it on the table with napkins and left. We ate our appetizer off a napkin with our fingers! I ordered 1/2 pound scallops and 1/2 pound lobster. Since when does 6 scallops, the size of a dime, weigh 1/2 a pound? My husband ordered 1/2 pound scallops, 1/2 pound shrimp and 1/2 pound sausage. He received 5 scallops! Two of my grandchildren ordered kids flounder meals and they brought them chicken tender meals. When I told the waitress she got someone else and this person proceeded to tell her the cooks would want to see it. They took the food away and we waited....and we waited...and waited, almost 24 minutes! We asked for a manager who did not come for 10 minutes. She was up front at the door speaking with another employee. We watched her go to our waitress and they disappeared for about 5 minutes. When she came to our table I had to ask her what her name was. She stated it was Anna Maria. I explained to her that the children's food has not arrived, the scallops were not 1/2 a pound, our shrimp appetizer was served with napkins and I personally had to go ask someone for silverware. She told us, well we have a table of 8 and only 2 cooks. We were there before the table of 8. Meanwhile as I was complaining to her about the service & lack of food the waitress came over wirhthe kids meals...under the fish was a nasty one dollar bill!!! Seriously??? We refused the order and explained to the manager that we felt that we should have better service, better quality and thought she should do something about this. She brought us our bill and took off 9.00 and some change! We paid 100.00 on a 92 something bill and still had to stop to feed 2 kids. I would be more sympathetic if this restaurant was full or even busy. It definitely was not! I can see why many customers know longer come to your restaurant in Wilson! We will never come back. I do not want a gift card or coupon as we will never patronage this establishment again. Your manager needs training in customer service as she stood there and and did not say much at all and the waitress is definitely not ready to be left alone to wait tables. I would have appreciated her at least acknowledging the fact this was awful, rather than make an excuse about a party of 8. Think about a 5 year old and an 8 year old waiting and waiting and waiting. It is now 6:52 pm and they are just now getting ready to eat...
