I visited this establishment on Sunday April 21st. My husband was celebrating his birthday. My daughter lives in Fayetteville NC and my husband and I live North of her, so this restaurant was at the halfway mark for us. My husband and I arrived first. My daughter and grandchildren were 20 minutes away so I decided to come in and reserve a table. We were told that there would be an approximate 20 minute wait. I decided to sit at the bar and a have a margarita while we waited. A few minutes later, a hostess approached me and told me that I had to get up because a couple needed to be seated. I responded, " I am a customer as well and I was here first." Also, there were at least 3 more empty seats available at the bar. The hostess was adamant that I get up and I refused. She got a male manager/owner to come over. He proceeded to tell me the same things that the hostess had said. I expressed to him as well that there were empty seats and I was there first. He told me that because I was waiting on a table that we needed to give our seats up to bar customers. If there weren't empty seats, I would have gotten up. The Manager started talking to me as if I was irrelevant. His level of disrespect was mind blowing. As he told me to get up, and go outside(it was raining) or go to my car, his staff stood around with grins on their faces like a bunch of circus monkeys. I got up to leave and noticed a couple that sat down to have drinks and no one approached them. I asked the manager why I was asked to get up but it was ok for them to be seated. The look on her face led me to believe that she didnt want a black couple at the bar. I told the ladies at the check- in desk my feelings about them, their horrible customer service and lack of people skills. There was a pregnant woman at the desk as well. I think she was a manager. I want her to know that she will definitely reap what she sews, as her attitude was the worst!!! My family decided to eat at another establishment. I will never give my money to nasty, rude and disrespectful people like the ones here. In closing, the margarita was awful and I asked for my money back. If I can't sit in your restaurant, I WONT fund your foolishness. I would NEVER recommend this...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant that caught my eye. Intrigued by its inviting exterior, I finally decided to give it a try today. However, I must express my utmost dissatisfaction with the overall experience.
First and foremost, the quality of the food left much to be desired. As a connoisseur of Mexican cuisine, I hold certain expectations when it comes to flavors and authenticity. Unfortunately, the dishes I ordered failed to meet those expectations. In particular, the carne asada, a staple in Mexican cuisine, had an overwhelmingly burnt and bitter taste that was incredibly off-putting. It was disheartening to have such a crucial element of the dish compromised in such a way.
Moreover, I noticed an inconvenience regarding the restroom facilities. The fact that your location only provides one women’s bathroom stall can be quite problematic, especially during peak hours when customers are in abundance. This resulted in long queues and a notable inconvenience for customers, which certainly impacted my overall dining experience as I had to wait approximately 30 minutes to use the bathroom.
I do want to acknowledge that our waiter was pleasant and attentive initially. However, as soon as our food arrived, she seemed to have forgotten about our table. This lack of attention was quite disappointing, as it hindered my ability to promptly inform the management regarding the unpleasant taste of my carne asada.
Overall, my visit was a regrettable one. The subpar food quality, inconvenient location with limited restroom facilities, and disappointing service left a bitter taste in my mouth, both figuratively...
Read moreSept, 2022 We tried the birria fries. They were pretty good. It's definitely meant for at least 3 people. I got the quesadilla de al pastor. There were some bits of pieces that were meant to go to someone's else dish. I got a piece of chicken and mushroom lol Their drinks look really appealing so I will try one next time. Our waitress was nice.
I been here a few timesbefore, just never wrote a review before. The first couple of times, the rice was always too salty and the beans weren't good (this was more than a year ago). I wouldve probably given them a 3/5 at that time. I won a gift card to eat here so we went on 07/17/21 during lunch. It looked a bit busy but we were seated immediately. I got the al pastor torta with fries. My fiance got the acp but with steak, shrimp and chicken. The chips and salsa were banging. We got our food just when we were done munching on the chips. My torta was pretty good. Huge, I could only eat half. My only critique is that the torta bread was already starting to sog bc of all the sauces. I tried the rice from my fiance's plate. It wasn't salty like how I remember it last time. Our server was a young male. His service was okay. Only checked on us once after we were done eating. He seemed shy so he mustve been new. I would...
