Antojitos is just what everyone has said, but they also do specials based on what the chef feels inspired to cook — the last time we were there, the special was sheep meat fajitas. This came with the sheep soup (made from the drippings!). I’ve never tasted anything like it!!! And then there is the bread which is supplied by a home made baker daily — it is self serve — pick the one you would like for a $1. There are usually 8 to 10 options to choose from — ALL GOOD!!! The tortillas were hot and fresh! The unique non-alcoholic drinks offered with the dinner were good and added to interesting combination of tastes to be experienced at this restaurant. New, authentic wonderful tasting Mexican restaurant. Don't let the outside of the building dissuade you from coming. Upon coming in we we're greeted from very friendly staff. The restaurant was clean. The menu is bilingual but one page and easy to read. The flautas were great, a menu item we don't regularly see elsewhere! The chicken gorditas we're great. The carne asada tasted great, the refried beans were fresh and appeared to be made and not canned. The sauces, rice, beans, vegetables were all fresh. Our meals were served hot. Food is good. But service is bad. We were charged extra for multiple items on the menu. After speaking to the owner, she stated that their prices had gone up due to inflation. However we’re never notified of these changes upon ordering. Instead of simply apologizing for the confusion. She went ahead and kept finding excuses for us not to request a refund. She stated that the menus had not been updated because they were switching locations. She stated staff didn’t inform us of these changes because they have hired new staff.
