Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Winchester

Came by here this morning to see how the new chipotle is. My husband and I arrived soon after opening. I had a salad and he had a burrito bowl. We also shared guacamole and chips. We were hoping for some fresh food but our chips were stale. We assume they’re left over from yesterday. The guacamole was good. They were very light on their portions. My husband ordered several items on the bar but despite that his food was under halfway up the bowl. They then put on a massive amount of sour cream so when eating it that was all you could taste. Some of my chicken in my salad tasted raw and too soft. When ordering I had asked for 2 meats. She asked if I wanted half and half or double. I said half and half. She proceeds to put a very small amount of beef (even removing some more from the tongs as she took it out) then puts 3 pieces of their chicken on it. I then just ask for double meat instead. All of the ingredients excluding the guacamole tasted just slightly off or bad as if they were from the previous day. We came early in the day hoping it would all be fresh. Every syrup on the pop machine was out as well and the person rolled her eyes when my husband mentioned it to her. It was not busy at the time we came. Maybe they will figure it out as they go but right now it was the worst chipotle I have had. And at $39 for a bowl, a salad, one drink, and chips with guacamole I probably won’t come back to see if it’s better. Don't let the negative reviews keep you from eating here. I have eaten at a countless amount of Chipotle's, and this one has to be one of the best. I feel a lot of the negative feedback is more out of rage due to the fact another Mexican food place was opening up. If you think the food is cold, have them make it fresh from the grill. I waited an extra 4 mins for fresh grilled veggies. The portions are massive. If you feel you need extra beans or whatever polity, ask them for more. Keep asking for more until you are satisfied with the portion. Some of the staff is new, don't be so hard on them. They are still learning. Service was terrible. Didn’t want queso and they gave it to me anyway. They didn’t ask my son if he wanted queso when he did. I had to order queso and chips to get him some. Didn’t get the side of queso for a few mins as I stood at the register with the manager right in front of me. Mr. Pibb was just carbonated water. While we were sitting down eating I kept watching the employees and they were just slacking off in the back while customers were waiting to have their order taken care of.
