Yesterday I had the unpleasant experience of visiting Leticia's inside of Boulder Station casino. I called and was told I needed a reservation. When I arrived it was empty and while I was dining the patrons never came. I did notice a plate full of food being returned from the couple in the next booth (that should have been my que to leave). My server was Josue. He started us out with these amazing tortilla chips, salsa and refried bean dips. If that's what you were interested in, this would be the grand prize, jackpot! Delicious is an understatement. After that my service, server and meal went all downhill. I never tell anyone of my stats of over 2.1 million photo views or 2 million in contributions because I want the genuine responses from the service and food. As I digress. Anyway the food comes out. The enchiladas comes out with red sauce that looks like mole and very little meat inside. The Taco was dry not tasty. The rice was not authentic rice. The beans were screaming delish. My shrimp tacos come out with overcooked fried shrimp alot of stuff going on top to disguise this mess. I ordered ONE fried and ONE grilled shrimp tacos. I got two fried messes. To make matters worse, I informed Josue of the errors. His response was,"I put it on the ticket. Sorry" and he walked away. He shifted blame. He didn't attempt to fix the error at all or get a manager involved. As you can see from the management details. The server stated he did ask if I wanted a replacement. HE DID NOT MAKE THAT STATEMENT AT ALL. My guest heard his remark as well. It was very poor customer service. Will I dine here again? The answer is NO! Thank you for getting back to me. On this matter. I only hope your other restaurant doesn't have staff or food presentation and preparation as...
Read moreCompared to the location on Main St this is a massive space - probably unnecessarily so for a locals restaurant. I think they could easily seat a couple of hundred but it was probably under 10 when we arrived at 8pm on a Wednesday night. The menu is huge but includes drinks and specials and brunch and happy hour items that probably don't apply.
I don't drink mid week so I skipped their famous tamarind margaritas and ended up ordering the mole pablano, my wife has a couple of tacos. While we waited we had fresh chips, guac, and beans. The beans are really good with chorizo in - unless you're vegetarian of course.
The mole with pork was delicious and a lot of food. I was hungry but only ate about half and was still stuffed. I got corn tortillas which were huge - like six inches, I thought they had made a mistake and bought my flour. However larger and thicker were good for loading up with the mole, rice, and beans. After eating two tortillas I called it quits and now I have a big lunch for tomorrow. At $22 I think it was good value for the amount of food and certainly delicious.
Our server was friendly and helpful. She was still getting the hang of things - this place has only been open maybe a couple of weeks - but we had no complaints. Although the place has some nice decorations I think just having so much room and empty tables plus a lot of TVs everywhere gave it a less than ideal atmosphere. I would close up the empty back space unless absolutely necessary, get the customers close to the gaming floor so it looks and feels busier, and loose the TVs but this is never going to compete with the hustle and bustle atmosphere of Lindo's a mile up Dessert Inn. I hope they do okay here - as locals we would certainly come back for a quick and...
Read moreI just visited this restaurant today. I used to be a regular at Guadalajara the restaurant that they replaced. I stopped in and noticed only one party eating in this restaurant. I first asked for a booth for 4 people and the lady said for two and I again stated a booth for 4 people. The lady brought me to a table with seating for 4. They had many booths that were all empty. I was thinking okay maybe she is new so I just took that table. Then we all ordered food. Out of four plates and appetizers. I was the only person that ate and finished my food. My youngest daughter got the cheese Quesadilla. It was not hot at all. She literally took one bite and said it tasted horrible. My oldest daughter got the carne asada street tacos 🌮 and the cilantro looked old on it. Both daughters got the cup of corn but it had green stuff in the corn. We did ask the waitress about the green stuff because it was not listed as an ingredient on the menu. The waitress stated she was going to check on what it was but never did tell us nor took it off our bill. I love the Mexican restaurant inside Palace Station but as for this one inside Boulder Station it was not very good. It is a new restaurant but our bill was over $100 and three of the people didn’t like their food at all. Definitely would not recommend this restaurant. Also we came around 4:40 pm so again they where not busy at all...
