Tacos El Pastor — Restaurant in Winchester

I came here for dinner last night 9/2/25 and was immediately disgusted!! An employee came out of the back area carrying raw pork in his hands. Placed the raw pork in a cooking container and then proceeded to start cutting steak for my tacos without changing his gloves or washing his hands!! Stopped cutting the steak and went to a side sink area where he proceeded to touch several food serving containers and already cooked deep fried taco salad shells with the same contaminated gloves still on his hands. I was floored at what I was seeing. When I called the employees attention to what he had done and that I would not be eating at their establishment for this reason the employee laughed it off....

Prices are very expensive compared to bigger and better nearby alternatives... Weak portion sizes, overcooked meats, vampiro is hard, dry and tiny, carnitas is bland and tough, lengua is unevenly seasoned with some bites of straight black pepper, radishes kept out of water. The flavors themselves are decent, but overall quality is inconsistent, especially for the price range. Several menu items were unavailable. Asked for extra sauce on my tacos and instead was given none on it. Customer service was good. During my recent visit to Tacos El Pastor, located inside the Boulder Station casino, I was in search of authentic Al Pastor tacos, and I must say, I was not disappointed.

The taco meat was cooked to perfection, with crispy bits that can only be achieved through traditional cooking methods. Additionally, the tortillas were all handmade using a tortilla press, adding to the authenticity of the experience.

To top it off, they even offer a selection of Mexican sodas, including the sought-after Mexican Coca-Cola.

Overall, if you're craving excellent Al Pastor tacos, Tacos El Pastor is a must-visit. Give it a try, and you won't be...
