I have passed by this place numerous times in the last few years and needless to say, I am glad we stopped in. First, the place is easy to find, its the only lighthouse on Flamingo rd, lots of parking available even when busy. My wife and I stopped in without a reservation, we were warmly greeted and seated quickly. The decor is slightly dated for my taste, but it was pleasant, well lit, and felt open even though the tables are setup for large groups, there are booths and couple tables. The waitstaff was friendly, knowledgeable with the menu and food and we didn't feel rushed. The staff are attentive and professional. The place is setup for live music with stage, screens, etc and they have a bar here as well, Although we didn't experience any live entertainment nor was able to have alcohol due to pending licensing for liquor. The menu is manageable and perfect with appz, specials, soups/salads, vegetarian and of course the different meat kabobs. Prices are competitively average and the portions are huge, mainly due to the amount of rice you get with your food. We got the Hummus side and yogurt (?name) which were served with pita and other breads which come with the order. We probably went through 3 baskets of bread just because the appetizers were very delicious and plentiful (it would have been enough for 4). The food came out within 20min and it was hot, fresh and delicious. We also got this amazing iced tea that I couldn't get enough of. We were just looking for a nice, laid back place to celebrate my birthday and I happened choose this amazing place. Weirdly, 3 other tables were celebrating birthdays as well! We were treated with some dessert (on the house) and I believe we left NO survivors on our plates! The bathrooms both are clean and neatly made up. Our bill came when we asked and even the owner stopped by to talk to us and showed us out when we were ready to leave. We didn't see any high chairs or a kid menu, but I am sure they can accommodate. We are definitely going back soon with our kids and have already recommended this place to a few of...
Read moreSUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE! Traveling to Las Vegas to celebrate two birthdays, with 16 people total, we wanted to have a few planned meals where the family could come together. I decided we should do one meal off the strip so we could have a little extra time and not feel rushed or crowded for the actual cake celebration part. I am so happy that I found Soroush! I was planning the trip from Illinois and very worried about going to an unknown place. The owner was so kind and full of suggestions over the phone.
I have to admit I was worried with the mixed reviews. However, we were warmly greeted by the staff. It was a decent-sized place. The restaurant and restrooms were clean (big thing for me). The owner had our favorite music playing which added a nice touch to our lunch and put us in the dancing/celebrating mood. We had hummus, eggplant and yogurt with cucumbers for appetizers. The main meal was 4 family platters (we would have been fine with 3) and we added a skewer of the filet to each platter. The food was fresh and delicious!
He offered a bowl of soup for those that wanted it. OH.MY.GOSH! The only thing we regretted was not having everyone get the soup so we could have extra :). If you like yummy, lemony soup - you MUST have the soup.
He also allowed us to bring our own Birthday Cakes and accommodated my special birthday song requests. He took care of storing the cakes in the cooler, putting candles on, and put them on small tables at the end of our dining table. Brought out all we needed to cut and serve the cakes, along with dessert plates.
I would definitely suggest this restaurant for a lunch or laid back dinner.
We all left happy and full and that is not an easy accomplishment for a group of 16 family and friends that don't usually...
Read moreGenuinely don’t know where to start. This was an absolutely terrible experience from the moment we walked in. The service was abysmal as we were seated (after 10 minutes of waiting) by a cranky senior staff who took 15 minutes just to bring us menus.
A couple who walked in before we were served our menus were immediately seated and had their order taken, while we continued to be ignored which was completely disrespectful and dismissive.
The atmosphere was equally disappointing with restaurant being BARELY 10% full on Christmas Eve!! which is a very busy spectacle for persians especially with the multitude of Persian concerts and comedy shows in Vegas at this time, HUGE red flag. The aforementioned dude had the audacity to be upset at us for not calling in for a reservation beforehand… like your restaurant has nobody in it?? Alright sir…
After this 30 minutes experience, we decided that this joke of a service and messy ambiance weren’t worth spending our hard earned money. simply walked out without ordering. Honestly, we were much happier grabbing classic burgers at a local place afterwards where at least they had Save yourself the frustration and skip this place altogether! Persian food is such a joy to experience and I would be terribly disappointed if a newcomer’s first...
