I walked down to McDonalds as the Thursday Concert on the Green just ended! So the drive thru is a little busy. Not BUSY! But a little busy. Probably less busy than they should have been.
I walk in, go m to a kiosk to order, but the kiosk is running very slow. I had to enter my selections several times before it registers my response. Every time. I didn't get far when a screen popped up telling me I had to pay at the kiosk, but my order has not been taken or completed. I decided to just order at the counter.
There is one guy that came in 2 or 3 minutes after I did! But he walked right up to the counter about the same time I quit at the kiosk. There was another man who had been ordering at the other kiosk when I arrived.
Not one employee said anything to any of us. They'd glance in our direction then ignored us. Not even a "someone will be right with you", or even "sorry the counter is closed except for pick up". Nothing.
Several more people came in, a line started to form, and still no response. The guy that came in while I was at the kiosk said that I was first and he came in after me, but I told him I was still deciding what I wanted and to go ahead of me.
One of the others in line left, I guess they had enough. That guy in front of me decided to leave too, he was waiting about 5 minutes and nobody said a single word to us yet. 1 or 2 more left the restaurant without any food
Another woman had come in and was there about 2 minutes and someone came over to talk to her briefly. They obviously knew each other, but I wasn't listening in on their conversation, that'd be rude! They finished chatting in about a minute or so, the employee left the counter and went to the line, still not a word to any of the rest of us.
I called out to those working the line, they glanced at me, turned away and went right back to whatever they were doing. And nobody was rushing or hurrying to get anything done.
I asked the guy that was there before me what time his receipt from the kiosk said, he's been waiting 10 minutes. And so had I.
Finally one worker hesitated when she glanced at me trying to gain her attention. As she started to turn away I had finally had enough. I loudly said MANAGER! I repeated it. She went back to the line sheepishly, and about a minute later the manager appeared.
The Kiosk was finally getting the other guy's food moments after the manager appeared. I pointed him out, told her he'd been waiting at least 10 minutes! I told her I had been waiting almost as long! I pointed and told her there was a line that had been forming and that 3 or 4 had walked out already.
She smiled, offered no lame excuses or apologies that I recalled, took my order that was promptly brought to me, I paid and fled! I did not want to be there one second more than I had to. (Ok!I did go get a straw and 2 cups of ketchup, then fled)
This place needs some serious training on duties, delegation, and customer service.
I rarely eat there anyway. But now, I think I'll go a couple more blocks to Taco Bell! The loss of me as a customer is negligible. And I'd much rather they step up and correct their serious deficiencies.
For you, well it is your choice, but I'd recommend avoiding the place for a while. And that shift manager did look fairly young, I'm not going to speculate on her level of experience.
I hope they get it together sooner rather than later. So if you do go there, be aware of those issues. Be a little patient and a little vocal. And don't be afraid to leave and find a better venue. Good luck.
Oh, the burger was barely warm, the fries never made it to being crisp either. So...
Read moreI normally go and buy my children some pancakes while dropping them off at daycare and I always feel that the ladies there are always with the long face in a bad mood the display menu is never available for breakfast it always has the lunch every time you asked for an order to give you something else and they never acknowledged you would never say good morning today I normally request my coffee with cream and sugar’s inside the coffee they gave it to me in a little bag and I told them my request was different and the girl just rolled her eyes at me and said well we have none and it’s faster this way. They had no scramble eggs so they offered me a choice I said my choice and they gave me a whole different choice also the food with packed all crunched up the pancakes were cracked because they were put in a chicken tender box because the y said they didn’t have a pancake box Today I finally told the girls you know what I am so sorry if my food ordering bothered you I am a customer and she said oh I’m sorry we were just trying to do a factor honestly this is very disappointing I’ve been a customer of McDonald’s for a really really long time and that Windsor in California Windsor California McDonald’s needs to be completely changed because the staff member specially in the morning shift are really rude and disrespectful to...
Read moreI've been going to this McDonald's off and on for about 5 years. Over the past 4 years this place has gone downhill in service. They are consistently short staffed and prioritize the drive-thru over the dining room so expect to wait a long time before someone even acknowledges you, much less takes your order. After ordering expect to wait again.
This is where you can fill up your soda at one of the two "Freestyle" Coca-Cola machines. Unfortunately one of the machines is always out of what you want. We'll, at least they have two. So you go to the other machines and it too is out of your favorite drink. Forget telling the employees because they are too busy to swap out the syrup.
I will say I've never had a bad meal here - the food is always fresh (it better be since you're waiting forever). I've also never had an incorrect order however I have witnessed several drive-thru customers come inside with an incorrect order.
So why 2 stars? I only give one star to a place I will never return to. If they improve their customer service and shorten the wait times, I would increase the stars. Until then, 2 is generous. Finally, see my attached photo. When a restaurant has a need to plaster the customer support phone number all around the cashiers, you know there is a chronic problem...
