I went with a friend shortly after Yinkeng reopened, and was deeply disappointed. The former Yinkeng was my gold standard for Chinese food; it not only had delicious food (my favorites were the broccoli beef, fried rice and crab dumplings), but it had a wonderful staff who provided professional and friendly service. They remembered you, we're always happy to see you, and regularly checked in to make sure you had everything you needed, without it being too frequent to be annoying. Also the interior designing of the restaurant had given the atmosphere a warm and homey feeling while also presenting the beautiful cultural aspects of a Chinese restaurant. However this New Yinkeng not only had a sterile neutrality to its unappealing atmosphere, the food is disgusting. Panda Express has better and cheaper food in comparison, and friendlier staff. Not only that, but the service was terrible. There was none of the original staff or owners. I had to ask for more water and I never got it. The new servers didn't seem to know what they were doing and were unfriendly. I'm never wasting my money there again, and I'm deeply disappointed...
Read moreI've been coming here since I was a baby. Yin Keng has always treated each customer like family. They remember you--not because it's good business, but because they want to.
Everything is made fresh to order and prompt. Their lunch specials are a staple for Windsordians looking for great Chinese food to satiate their hunger.
Our family loves to start with the Pu-Pu Platter which offers several appetizers along with a charming miniature grill to sear your beef skewers or ribs and is served with sweet and sour sauce and hot mustard. Dad loves the accompanying egg rolls and crispy won tons.
The family favorites : Pu-Pu Platter,, Sizzlingup (best ordered in person. I'd order won ton soup to go.), vegetable chow mein, lemon chicken, Kung Pao chicken, Marco Polo prawns, mongolian beef and sweet and sour pork. We especially love the pot of oolong tea that is provided...
Read moreWe have been coming here for years and always loved the food. Recently the manager made a very inappropriate comment to my dad asking if he was there for chinese or chinese food, jokingly..but not funny. Unprofessional and inappropriate. Then we asked if we could have half chowmein and half fried rice on our lunch special. We have been ordering it this way for many years. He flat out would not give us half chowmein because there was noodles in the chow fun. I guess his opinion matters more than what the customer would like an insisted we would have to pay for an extra side if chow me in. Sorry to say we will not be driving to Windsor from Santa rosa to get our food anymore. I'm...
