Skillets Cafe — Restaurant in Windsor

Food was terrible. I ordered the Avocado French toast and that was 19 dollars. This deserved to be 7 dollars. I wish I read carefully what was entailed, but they had a generic toast bread with poached eggs and globs of balsamic sauce. 1, please use a different bread. It tasted bad with what they were trying to do. 2, I don't like runny yoke eggs. So, they just made the look and taste of everything not pleasant. All the other foods looked like the prices needed to be cheaper. Moreover, my waiteress was a kind lady, but if customers aren't eating your food and just sitting, there obviously is something wrong. Was able to be seated immediately around 8 am on a Thursday. There was only one server working but they hustled and made sure you are taken care of. This place is a more modern diner so it’s fine just feels a little sterile. I decided to go with the breakfast tacos and they were good just nothing ground breaking here. The hashbrowns were fine I just thought they could have used some more flavor. But the thing that left me wanting more was the diner coffee. This restaurant was a great find to our vacation! My husband and I are visiting Windsor for our anniversary and wanted a good place to eat. We definitely found that here at the Skillets Cafe! The Cafe was great from Caramel Delight who waited on us to the food and atmosphere. They recently added curly fries to their menu to test out and were recommended by Caramel Delight. It was a great suggestion and I agree with him that they need to keep them on the menu permanently.
