Blooming Grounds Express used to be really good when it first opened. Personally I always get the ham & cheddar, it used to be my go-to meal when I go there, as I live close by. Although the past few months it is never consistent as to what I will get when I go. Sometimes the sandwich is good and recently for the past year it has been consistently bad. I think it is in the way they make the sandwich or are training people to make it, I am not sure. Although they used to be very good the sourdough, ham, and cheese would be very warm with the vegetables being cold and the lettuce crispy and crunch. Now I feel like they just throw it all together and the lettuce/ tomatoes are soggy and when the lettuce is warm it tastes gross like steamed spinach. There are barely any onions or tomatoes as well (there was only 1 tomato slice in the picture) and before when people used to make them there were also more and people always cut the onion differently sometimes it’s in rings or in chopped pieces. Now I don’t go back to BGX as often because I know the sandwich won’t be the same, and it makes me sad because if you know me I LOVE ham & cheese sandwiches. I also think that if you get only the sandwich without the chips it should be cheaper because you aren’t paying for the entire meal/sides just the sandwich. This sandwich costed me $11 without sides and I think for only the sandwich it is a bit expensive, especially when the quality of it is not there anymore. I am not the type of person to normally leave reviews or comment but I really hope this helps change something or fix the ham & cheddar sandwich. If you read this far thank you for reading, I appreciate it!

Stopped here on our way out of town from a weekend Winona getaway over the 4th of July. Service was quick, inside is clean and has a lot of seating options. Looks like there is a drive thru if you need coffee even quicker, but we ate inside. There is an outdoor patio it looks like, but it was raining when we came. Highly recommend the avocado toast with EVERYTHING on it - delicious. We had one of the special white chocolate macadamia lattes which was good as well. My husband got the “hangover” bagel and regrets not getting one with less toppings as it was difficult to eat without making a mess, but he does recommend still adding the spicy feta if you choose a different version of the bagel.

I have been going to blooming grounds express since they opened this second location. The drive up window is convenient. The most recent staff has been so thoughtful. The manager of the express location is amazing; she’s so patient and kind. Plus the coffee and food is delicious. The staff makes me feel so welcomed and that’s a big way to bring your customers back!

I recently visited Blooming Grounds Express and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet meal. The coffee was exceptional, with a smooth and rich flavor that was just what I needed to start my day. The food was also delicious, with a variety of options to choose from that catered to different dietary preferences.

The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that my experience was top-notch from start to finish. I appreciated the attention to detail in both the presentation of the food and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food and drinks offered.

Overall, I highly recommend Blooming Grounds Express to anyone looking for a great place to enjoy a meal or grab a cup of coffee. I will definitely be returning...

love the coffee it’s my favorite in town for local coffee. BUT, even when i’m the only person in the drive through it takes an average of 10-15 minutes just for one single cold brew. i went there once with 2 cars ahead of me with about 20 minutes to get to where i needed to be.. after 15 minutes the first person was still at the window so they lost my service that day as i had to leave empty handed with no coffee for my internship that day. i contemplate going here every day but i only make it about once every 3 weeks because i know i’m going to end up waiting 20 minutes each time. once again, the coffee and food is amazing but it’s not worth the constant wait :( i’ve been disappointed time and time again thinking one day the service will be under 10...
