Gatsby's Pub — Restaurant in Winston-Salem

this place used to be lots of fun, went to Gatsbys for the 2017 halloween party tonight with my friend Robbie and my girlfriend was told after calling at 5:30pm they would have 2 bands playing 1st band which was supposed to play at 10pm then the 2nd band that would play later after that, cover charge at door was $3.00 per person. we drove all the way from Kernersville to have a night out on the town and the drums and equipment they had setup did nothing but sit all night and nothing but dj soundboards and speakers with music playing out if them all night, 11:30pm came and still nothing going on when we was leaving a complete waste of money and time last time I checked a dj is not band, my friend took me and my girlfriend home and we cracked open some beers popped in some Halloween movies and watched some Netflix and decided to have some intimate time before bed, pretty sad but anything beats the experience we had tonight, not to mention karaoke every weekend sucks here dj takes tips then skips people who wants to sing and nothing but washed up college kids who cant handle their beer and is barley even old enough to drink this place definitely will not get 5...

Gatsbys has always had a special place in my heart. It's one of the oldest bars in Winston Salem and the owners have always taken pride in displaying a fun and inviting atmosphere. With the new upgrades since Covid, you can really tell a difference in the upgraded atmosphere too. The bartenders are great and witty, making your visits fun and exciting. Brent G will always be the best bartender there, as he cares the most about his patrons! Lame. Lame. Lame. Guy that runs the karaoke (maybe the owner? Not sure.) does not care about you unless you’re a regular and/or wasted party goer. Came here for a birthday for some karaoke and pool but the pool was not playable because of the tiny space and how the table was angled, plus the regulars would not move even an inch for us to try to play around them. 1/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
