I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent brunch experience at Betty on Burke. I am leaving this one-star review because your staff removed my meal from our check without my prompting, which, while appreciated, does not excuse the poor quality of the food and service.

My husband and I chose your restaurant because of its affiliation with Mozelle's. We were curious why the health grade of 96.5 when the restaurant has only been open for 6 months. However, our experience was far from satisfactory.

I ordered the brunch stack, which I would not recommend to anyone. It was missing the most important component, the poached egg, and the entire dish was cold, as if it had been prepared days in advance. My husband's Korean BBQ plate was also served cold. Furthermore, the table next to us ordered the smash burger and reported that it looked "pathetic" and was missing several items advertised on the menu. They, too, had to inquire about the missing ingredients.

The service was also severely lacking. Overall, I would not return to Betty on Burke, even if offered compensation. The cook appears to be very amateur and in need of significant...

I can't give a rating on the food or atmosphere since I was not allowed to dine but the service was appalling. I showed up today for lunch with my wife and service dog. Keith requested my certification for my service dog and I kindly explained that there is no such thing. A business and their employees should be familiar with the Americans with Disabilities Act and how it affects them, sadly this business waswoefully unaware. Keith initially seemed to accept the explanation but then only offered outdoor seating. Mind you the temperature was low 90s by this point and I said that I would like to sit inside and would go elsewhere if they would not allow it. Keith said nothing further, simply stared at me. I am very disappointed as the restaurant came highly recommended. I am submitting a complaint to the DOJ. Such a...

I took the family out to celebrate a promotion. We were seated promptly, our waiter was very attentive. The selected wine met with approval. Most everyone enjoyed their meals, except me. I ordered the pork schnitzel and I couldn’t cut it. I wasn’t offered a steak knife. It was overdone and the edges required quite a bit of sawing. I left more than half on my plate, it wasn’t worth the effort. I was not asked if there was anything wrong with my dish.We ordered desserts to pass and they were all excellent. I think anyone else in our party would give them 5 stars. My experience was 2 stars worth, so I gave them 4 altogether. (Place is difficult to find it is at back of store fronts, no signage that I could see, except the street address...

Had a yummy first experience at Betty last night at their first wine dinner. Chef Jay is really flexing his culinary skills with some fun and delicious new dishes. Like the sister restaurant Mozelle’s, service was top notch. That’s to be expected from owner Jennifer. And the decor Jennifer has put together (including some amazing oyster shell chandeliers) is as fun and elegant as the food. Keith as GM is a great fit bringing an impeccable CV from our favorite Charleston restaurants like Chez Nous. My favorite dish of the night was the Ahi tacos. The shells were fried rice paper! And the Japanese Barbecue was perfect. We ate outside and really loved it, even on a crisp Fall night. We are looking forward to future visits!

We met some friends at Betty on Burke for a Saturday lunch. I didn't really have any expectations and I can be difficult to please as I'm a published chef. Let me tell you, this place is EXCELLENT. Very creative menu for those that feel adventurous (like me) or simple items for those that are less adventurous. The highlights for me were the Potato Chips with Carmelized Fennel and Labneh and the Potato Pancakes. Both of which were fantastic. My wife got the tuna salad and loved it. I also had the veggie bowl which was wholesome and delicious. It is NOT CHEAP. You're going to spend some money here. Felt it was worth every dime. Top shelf service, food, ambiance. Loved it. Highly reccomend it.

Upscale experience at reasonable prices. This newly opened restaurant provided great service and excellent food. Definitely get the potato chip appetizer. It's a flavor explosion! The lemon pasta was superb with new flavors for my palate. The smashburger was more like a slider. It had good flavor and I really liked the crunchy shoestring french fries, but I probably wouldn't get it again. However the buttermilk panna cotta was the perfect way to finish our dinner. Betty on Burke is located in the same building as Snob, but on the opposite side. Definitely visit this place for a great experience!
