These are all over. Great family atmosphere. Beer & Wine available! Lots of sushi options. Good price es. Food is good. Outdoor seating available. The spicy tuna salad is my favorite. I also love their Gyoza & fried dumplings. A few appetizers and a cold beer and you are set! Update April 2024 Tucked away off the main road at the entrance to a shopping center, it does not seem to inviting until you walk in. A very warm environment with Japanese artwork and artifacts make you feel welcome. There is a sushi bar and amble table and booth seating. There are also a few tables set outside if the weather cooperates. Staff is friendly and quick to serve you. Menu has some good appetizers, salads and soups. Their main items are the many choices of sushi. There is also hibachi & teriyaki with your choice of protein, mixed veggies and different sauces. The veggies are cooked and seasoned perfectly. You can get it with fried or white rice or noodles. We got Gyoza and crab Rangoons for appetizers, both were wonderful sufficient filling in both, not scampy like others.. The onion soup was pretty bland, basically plain broth with green onions. The Ninja Roll was spectacular. Shrimp tempura with crab, avocado and eel sauce. I have to add that the mushrooms and carrots that you get with the hibachi is excellent! Try them out, you won’t be disappointed.

The Kimono Japanese Restaurant And Sushi Bar Experience (Dine-in Edition). On this day, I wanted Japanese. I have walked past Kimono a couple of times going to the restaurant next door and have smelled goodness. So, I ordered their chicken spicy teriyaki entrée with fried rice and mixed vegetables with their black ginger sauce. Unfortunately, the entrée did not come with a soup or a salad, so I ordered their onion soup. While waiting for my food, I visited the restroom, and it did appear clean. The food came out hot and tasted fresh. The black ginger sauce looked like something that had come out of me after a night of drinking. So I did not want that anywhere near my food. However, the food was so flavorful it did not need any sauce. After eating at Kimono's, I felt torn. The food was terrific, but the entrée did not come with a salad or soup. The service was good, and my cup stayed refiled. However, Kimono does not offer lunch specials, and most of all, they do not have your traditional tasting Japanese sauces other than white sauce. Therefore, I do not feel you get your bang for your buck when eating at Kimono Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar. I probably would eat at Kimono's again if in the area, but they would not be my top pick for Japanese food.

Be Careful at Kimono!!! My husband and I went to Kimono off Country Club Rd this evening and had our worst experience yet. Immediately after being seated, the person taking care of our table asked us if we knew what we wanted to order for food and neither of us had even an opportunity to open our menus. We felt rushed our entire time there and it seems that even the cooks were rushing to send out the food. My husband ordered the steak and shrimp with the steak to be cooked medium rare and I ordered the steak cooked the same way as well. When the food was brought to our table, my husband's food was prepared correctly and my steak was essentially rare and almost raw. We told the server that the steak was undercooked and he did apologize and told us the meal would be prepared again and we asked for it to be medium instead so it would be cooked longer. Instead, the second attempt was worse than the first. Please be careful and check your steak before eating poorly cooked meat.

First time being at this restaurant and after we got seated took forever for us to finally ask if we had a waiter/waitress! I First asked about their plum wine. I asked if it was red or white and she could not answer my question so I said forget it! We ordered our drinks and food together hoping it wouldn't take as long to get waited on. The test was freezing cold and everyone had their jackets on and I asked several people if they were as cold as we were and they all agreed so I asked why they had the air Conditioner on and told her to look around and notice how cold everyone was and bundling up in their coats. She said she would ask about the air but it never changed. Our food was delicious is one thing I can say but we were so cold we ate it really fast. My husband wanted a to go cup and I was basically using sir? Ma'am? Nobody paid attention because now they were cleaning so I went and got the cups myself. She only came once to check on us because we were out of drinks and needed more sauce but then we never saw her again. We left saying how nice the place looked and how good the food was but disappointed in the AC on when it was definitely a cold night and service. We are rarely on that side of town so I don't know if we will ever go back but we hear people love it. We just didn't have a good experience but won't say we will never go back but not...

I have been ordering takeout from this location for several years now. As of recently, with each new order, the quantity of food is shrinking and the quality is becoming questionable. Sushi rolls have mysteriously reduced in size and orders are now sending me to the toilet. Our rolls used to come in slices of eight pieces per roll. Now only six and even five slices per roll. Volume in takeout containers are noticeably smaller. This evening my order was in error and is the reason I'm writing this review. Unfortunately the food was already bagged when I arrived and I did not take the time to check when cashing out. At home I discovered that my nigiri order did not come with the 2 pieces of white fish, 2 pieces of tuna, and 2 pieces of salmon as specified on the menu. Instead, received 4 pieces of nigiri and one piece of shrimp. Though this may seem trivial, for the prices they charge, it is significant. When I called the restaurant back to express my dissatisfaction, the receptionist would not correct the overcharge for their mistake, but instead made excuses for having a chef from another location and lectured me for not having checked my order before leaving the restaurant. So much for customer service and so much for ever patronizing this restaurant again. My stomach...
