Writing this review was so hard because I truly wanted to express how absolutely wonderful this place is. Sharing that tone through writing is difficult. So please, as you read this know that there is something absolutely magical about this restaurant.
Our family dined here twice while camping. The first night it was just our family and the second, it was with my brother and sister in laws and my niece.
The atmosphere here is incredible! From the quaint bridge, small "shark" pond, lights, fire pits, etc. it just has this indescribable calming feeling and home like charm. There is seating outside at picnic tables or in Adirondack chairs by fire pits. Inside there are these two beautiful all glass garage doors that are open to the sea air and soft breeze. There is an array of seating choices inside. You could sit at one of the lower tables, high tables, couches/arm chairs, or the bar. There are adorable lights set up on the table and even though the tables look to be close together, when you are sitting at the tables you really have your own space.
The food is AMAZING!!!! I have one very picky kiddo when it comes to food and he said the brick oven pizza was the best that he had ever had and was perfection. This easily became his favorite restaurant. He even said that the lemonade was delicious!! All of our food was perfectly cooked, in a timely manner, and was so great.
The music was also incredible. The playlist had a little bit of everything on it and had us singing along. We were also lucky to be there when they had live music. Ethan Burne was absolutely amazing. It was hard to believe that he had only been doing live sessions for a couple of months. We were seated next to his parents and family and had wonderful conversations with them! Make sure to drop in if he is playing, his set list was fantastic!
And last but most certainly not least, I want to mention the staff. They were friendly, kind, and attentive. Our servers on both nights were fantastic! Nothing about their service felt rushed or forced. They are all genuine people. The owner herself is an absolute amazing person and we spent a good amount of time talking with her and getting to know each other and her family who also works there.
I could seriously go on and on about how special this place is but the only way for you to truly understand how magical it is, is to go there and feel it for yourself. So please, stop in for a bite and drink. You will...
Read moreIt’s a great concept, just not utilized well (yet). Good outdoor space. Would recommend some smaller seating areas outstide,..the tables are made for 8 people and only 3 or 4 of them, then a bunch of Adirondack chairs around fire pits. They have a really nice cornhole set. If you sit outside you have to order at bar. That was a pain in the butt. I went in 2x to place orders and both times was in there 10-15min each time - waiting in line and also waiting for drinks while ppl who ordered after me go theirs. It took 35-40 minutes to get our apps and 45 minutes for our burger. The burger meat is seasoned (this is not mentioned on menu and it had onions, also not mentioned on menu) - we would not have got it, if we had known. The fries were very good, the bun was also good. The apps were meh (crab rangoon and skillet queso dip). My prickly pear margarita mocktail was amazing! Cider was also good - more local/regional cider options would be awesome! Had to go get my own utensils and napkins - I asked the food runner for them, and she responded as though she would bring some, but didn’t. They do have table service inside. The ordering at the bar experience was so slow and such a turn-off and the food was just okay, sadly we...
Read moreMy wife, daughter, and I made a trip up to Schoodic Peninsula for the day while we were vacationing in Bar Harbor. When leaving, we were looking for a seafood restaurant, but stopped for a beer since we couldn't decide where to go for dinner. I am so happy that we stopped here. Do not pass this place up as it is truly a gem of a place! The beers were awesome, and the food is sensational! We enjoyed the smoked wings, mosquito bites, mussels, and the pulled pork. So good!!! I loved the Golden ale and Blonde ale. Our waitress, Vanessa was so sweet, personable, and attentive. The rest of the staff were lovely as well. We really enjoyed talking with the owners, Glenn and Megan, learning how their business dream came to a reality. They are so friendly and inviting. The only downside is that we live in Pennsylvania and we can't visit here often. We wish Glenn and Megan all the best, and thank you for making our last day in Maine one that we will...
