The Gallery — Restaurant in Winter Harbor

This little restaurant is definitely worth your money, the place is welcoming and everyone is very friendly. The service is great and the employees are super polite, but the food and drinks are what’s best. There is a wide range of drinks to select from that you can’t find anywhere else, and they tasted fantastic. There are lots of options that are non alcoholic too. The food menu has a decent amount of options and lots of variety. I can’t even explain how good the food was, I’ve been to loads of different restaurants in many different places but this one is my favorite. Everything is fresh and local. Out of all the food I ordered I loved all of it. I am big on desserts and I was disappointed that there were only two options, it was worth it though because the salted caramel cheese cake is the best cheese cake I tried. A fantastic wife/husband team - Marin and Troy - runs the Gallery. They serve delicious food and drinks and a laid-back, friendly atmosphere in gorgeous Winter Harbor, ME.

I had The Floor is Guava, a curry tofu salad sandwich, and a slice of salted caramel cheesecake. The sandwich was phenomenal and reminiscent of chicken! I sat at the bar and was kept company by Troy and two locals. I've never met a friendlier bunch that made me feel like I was part of the community and not just a visitor. (Although, everyone I've met in Maine has been amazing.)

I'm sad that I've been here for nearly a month and went only once to The Gallery; however, my waistline probably appreciates it!

I have been waiting to review The Gallery until I ate a meal there after enjoying Troy's perfectly crafted mojitos for the last 3 weeks. After eating with 5 friends tonight, I feel silly to have thought the food might not measure up. Stephanie in the kitchen created delicious and thoughtful entrees. I had a curry tofu sandi and I completely understand that many people want to stop reading this review after that admission. But, no joke, it was delicious and hearty and it did not resemble rabbit food. It was served in a buttered hotdog bun and tasted like it was drenched in some type of creamy sauce, so just go with me. The take-away is, you can reinvent a tiny piece of Main Street in a Winter Harbor, Maine with creative food, delicious drinks, and really nice, hard-working people intent on sharing their vision of what has been missing from your town that you just never...
