This evening I went to Buffet City in Winter Haven with my wife and liked it VERY much. At the conclusion of dinner I asked my wife if she would com here again, and she said yes, which echoed my thoughts. Although the place was crowded we were seated right away by the smiling hostess. The variety of food was small to choose from, but adequate enough. I saw they had a large slab of roast beef, and a ham you could carve for yourself. They had multiple sharp serrated knives and carving forks to use. I started with some roast beef. Since I was at another buffet the previous night, which I despised, I decided to start my dinner with the same foods to contrast and compare. Conclusion? Buffet City was the hands-down winner! I had a small chicken drum bone, some green beans, a small portion of fried rice, and an egg roll to share with my wife (since moving to Florida three years ago we have been on the search for the perfect egg roll--unfortunately we didn't find it here, but everything else was really good). Anyway, I started with a very modest plate. The roast beef was tender and tasty, the chicken was tasty and tender, the string beans were a little greasy, but had a nice garlic taste to them, and the rice was fair. Over all it was a good start. I also had Roasted chicken, General Chou Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Crab, Ham, Broccoli, Mushrooms an Onion Ring and more! I was only unhappy with the onion ring (soggy) and the ham (too salty). I am not sure about the crab being real because of the presentation--regardless it was tasty and I even had seconds. And the Sweat and Sour--seemed like it was made from ground chicken with filler and then coated with the batter--yet it was good. I also had Hibachi Chicken--there were a lot of chicken dishes that were good, but the Hibachi Chicken truly the best. It was perfect! I finished with a variety of desserts that I shared with my wife. Some were good and some weren't. For ice cream they feature Hershey novelties and I enjoyed the little I had. And I used the bathroom, so I can report it was spic and span clean and fresh smelling! BTW, my wife liked her dinner as well. She had some fresh stir fry, and other dishes I did not have. And she a;so said the bathroom was nice and clean :-)

Visited for dinner on a Wednesday after a day at Legoland with the family. One of the better buffets I’ve been to. Buffets are known for QUANTITY, but this one is also QUALITY. As other reviews mentioned, the sushi is better quality than many Chinese buffets. Other items that were better quality were the hibachi, hot and sour soup, and ice cream. A lot of other hot and sour soups are not that great, but this one was full of ingredients and the right amount of spice. The ice cream is not the typical soft service vanilla or chocolate, but individually wrapped ice cream bars, ice cream cups, or popsicles. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because the water and hot tea were clearly faucet water. Other places use tap water too, but it tastes ok. The water here didn’t taste good. Besides that, the food was great!

This place was awful! Will NEVER go back… very disappointed. I read so many good reviews about this place even had friends tell me the food was good. This was the absolute worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten at in my life. The stuffed mushrooms were raw in the middle… The hibachi chicken had a freezer burn flavor and the texture was not quite right… All of the traditional Chinese dishes had an off flavor… The generals chicken was actually very sweet… The sweet-and-sour chicken had a very rubbery texture… not sure it was chicken! The egg roll was not cooked in the middle and had some grey stuff in it… I tried several items and spit them back into a napkin… The waitress never even acknowledged that I had nothing to eat. The only time she spoke was when she brought the check… I was so angry and so disgusted I should’ve talk to a manager but I did not… I paid the bill and left. Never again!

suggested by a friend rather than the local buffet by me . outside very plain looking and not very appealing . once inside it's a different story . place is a lot bigger than it suggests from the outside . we were seated quickly and tables were not crammed together like most which was good as i use a power chair to get around . there was a large variety of Asian dishes with some american foods mixed in . place appeared very clean and foods bins were always stocked . food it self was good and seemed fresh . don't think i'll be going back to local place , this was well worth the extra few miles to get there . my only complaint would be the traffic when you get close to store and packed parking lot even though it was pretty big

The variety and volume of food available at this buffet is insane! Everything looks and smells amazing! Regarding the quality, when you try to do everything you aren't great at anything. Everything is good (I'll skip the sushi next time, it wasn't so good). If effort to help food very hot (it is hot!), the steam makes some of the food soft. I initially rated the food a 3 and everything else a 5 but this place doesn't deserve anything less than an overall 5. I was overwhelmed at the amount of choices available! We will be back and next time I'm bringing my dad and our kids! You cannot get anything better for the price! We paid $17.99 per adult.
