Southeast Plaza — Local services in Winter Haven

I went to check out the cashier was friendly and was telling how to use my publix app and I was able to save on the particular item. I saw a familiar face Rebecca she showed how to tap my debit card on the machine, Sierra was outside by the entrance. I unloaded my groceries in my car and I was taking back my cart to the store and She met me half way and said She would take it for me and my empty bottle to put in the trash. I would appreciate if all the women that helped me today could be recognize for the far & beyond their normal duties working at Publix. Thanks everyone of ya'll made my day. Talk about your "average to lower level" restaurant!! OK, I won't say anything bad about the food I ate as it was fresh BUT the salmon had NO appreciable taste, almost like it was simply boiled then served - and with the amount of "fat" all over the selection I knew it never saw a broiler! I expected to see a better selection of seafood selections - like ALL OTHER Chinese restaurants I go to BUT they did NOT have them! Instead there were pasta items - macaroni and cheese (??), pasta and Italian red sauce (??), and other strange items I never see in Chinese restaurants! Food was ok. Not outstanding, but good enough that I do keep going back. I know what I like there - mushrooms in oyster gravy, butter shrimp - it's consistently good. But on the whole, the building itself looks tired and frumpy. Like it's lost its zeal for happiness. The lighting is subdued. The room temperature is steamy rather than hot or cold. I felt like I was inside a cave, a steamy, dark cave.

May 14, 2019 Update. WOW! What a difference! Went for lunch. Lighting is considerably brighter. Temperature and humidity is much more pleasant. Good job on the changes! I enjoyed my lunch (except for the fried wontons - cream cheese...
