STAY AWAY!!!! PSA: I have to give a zero because giving no starts is not an option…. Today was my husband and I decided we would go out for dinner and decided to go to Hurricanes because we wanted wings and have been to this restaurant chain before. So my husband and I along with our 4 boys show up to this location at 8:15pm. When we approach the door there’s a piece of paper that states they close at 9:00pm. We decide to just go in as we were already there. I walk in first with 3 of the boys then my husband follows with our baby in the stroller and we stood there a few minutes before we were acknowledged which was off because we were standing directly in front by the podium. Finally a young man looks up and says “Oh we are closed” my husband and I exchange looks and we were in shock that we weren’t even greeted just told “We are closed” after just seeing a sign that says 9:00pm. I felt so embarrassed as my youngest son then looks at me and says “Mommy why are we leaving are we not eating?” I was so upset that I just took my kids back to our vehicle and told them we were going elsewhere. As we are pulling away my husband immediately called the location to ask if they were closed and they stated they closed at 9:00PM!!!!! So my husband proceeds to ask so then why were we just turned away?! He asks to speak to the Manager Lisa who apologized that we were given misinformation but that they closed at 9:00 and last customers stop at 8:45 so no one should’ve told us that! We shared our experience with her and she apologized and said that If we wanted we could go back. By then we had already left and they way we were feeling we did not want to go back! We are very unhappy, disappointed and disgusted with how we were treated. At this point I’m not sure if it was the fact that it was 6 of us and they were understaffed but I would’ve respected a direct response instead of “we’re closed” OR if it was because of our ethnicity. While we stood there waiting a waitress came out from the back to say goodbye to her friends and completely ignored that fact we were just standing there. As if our embarrassment wasn’t enough there was a gentleman outside smoking his cigarette and saw us go to the entrance and when he saw us come back out he asked us “Did they give you guys a long wait?” I told him “No they told us it’s closed” He was in shock and was like “What??? that’s not right?!” We have contacted Corporate regarding this experience and...
Read moreFirst i just wanna start off by saying this place landed me in the HOSPITAL! .. we first got there i was so excited never been there before .. the waitress was very polite no problems with her .. the night started to go left when we got our wings .. when we got our food the chicken was paler then idk what , not mention we asked for them to be half garlic parm & Creamy lemon pepper all flat the waitress brings them out n they are all garlic parm.. when asked what happened ti the half n half she realized it and went to talk to the cook .. we hear them tell her they gonna give us the creamy lemon pepper in bowl in the side & we put it on there … after all of them is covered already in garlic parm sauce .. then they suggest she comes get the 5 wings out the basket and they just do .. we denied all of that we send the whole plate back to have them fix it & cook them longer after 20 mins she brings back the wings & they still not cooked atp we was aggravated & just decided to get them n take them home we did still pay but it was a total waste we even trashed after leaving .. the next morning at about 7am i projected all over the floor & did not stop there i had to go to the hospital & basically have my stomached pumped i would never in my life eat her again & i suggest you don’t , the kitchen cook was rude you can hear him from out table talking about the whole ordeal of us just wanting our food cooked longer & not meant ion in the menu it says they cook it for 12 minutes ima cook it should definitely take longer then that to fry wings DO NOT recommend.. & i called to inform them the lady in the phone tells me she “doesn't know what i want her to say other then sorry” & she hadn’t even said that smh please don’t eat save your money & time from being wasted needs new management & waitress! I will say we did come towards the end of the night, so service might be better earlier, however that does not excuse our service. Our waitress was avoiding us all night, everyone at the table ran out of drinks multiple times and had to wait for one of the few times the waitress actually showed up. My boneless wings were just two tenders cut into five pieces, barely rolled in sauce, some of the worst chicken Ive ever had, my husband shared the wings and agrees. We ordered chips and queso for the table…we got what I can only describe as a thimble full of queso with some overcooked chips for $10. Our Friend ordered chips, salsa, and guac… i’ve never see this girl send back food however, the guac was absolutely horrible old, brown, inedible, mush I am shocked the cook allowed that out to customer. I do not eat guacamole and even I could tell that it was shot just from looking at it. We had to ask a different waiter to take back the guacamole as ours was nowhere to be seen. When the check finally came, which we had to grab the other waiter again to get our waitress to bring the check. They had the audacity to try and have us pay for the guacamole that had two bites had been taken out of. One bite from our Friend, one from my husband, agreeing that that is inedible. She said it was made today…. We don’t care when it was made. It was obviously shot and not okay to serve. There were about five other items that the waitress had come up to us originally saying that they were out of. When the cook saw that guacamole he should have just said I am so sorry, Is there something else I can get you because I cannot service this. Expensive, and horrible service!
