I stayed here a few nights and here is my opinion as a HH Diamond. The location is great for Legoland super smart business move to build this location. It’s your average Home 2 property. Rooms are big, clean I love Home 2 beds over a lot of other branded Hilton properties. The hotel is new so I know stuff is still a work in progress. A few issues was breakfast closed at 9am and one day alittle earlier. I understand the weekdays but on a holiday break it should be offered longer. The hotel has washers and dryer’s that are brand new but only one washer was working. They said due to the holidays they couldn’t get it serviced. Super odd brand new ones don’t work. Of course people let their laundry sit for hours. The pool isn’t heated and to me that was a big bummer for the winter time. Especially for a location built around a children’s theme park. There is no shuttle offered to Legoland.. This is a huge let down. You could walk but it wouldn’t be the easiest walk for kids and with traffic not the safest. Parking was easy and free. The bathrooms have bathtubs and this is the first Home 2 I’ve been especially a new property that has tubs. I personally hate tubs and don’t understand the point in placing them in new hotels. They are unsanitary the shower curtains aren’t changed with every guest and a super big slip hazard. I know some people want them but this was a huge disappointment for me. I would stay at the hotel again but wouldn’t be my first choice. I have stayed at their sister property a lot in Lake Land they actually recommend me to this location due to Legoland and the service at that location...
Read moreThe hotel is new so it’s very clean, rooms are a very decent size, accessibility features are up to par for what we need. The pool is broken and no one knows when it will be fixed. (Total bummer for kids, and they should be notifying you of this on the website, because I’m still paying rates for a room with a pool) There is NOT enough parking for all of the rooms, it fills up quick and the “overflow” parking is in the stores parking lot in front of the hotel. Not as safe or secured. And most terrible of all is the breakfast. It’s probably up there as the worst of hotel breakfasts, especially for a Hilton. They have extremely limited options, nothing for the sandwich’s are hot. It’s all cool/lukewarm warm they run out of bread to build it with very quickly and when asked she offered us a hamburger bun one morning. They don’t have fruit, muffins, pastries, or anything (besides waffles) that screams we cater to kids because we’re right across from legoland. It’s odd. We tried getting there at different times, including right when breakfast started and they keep a very small amount of food out no matter when you go, they sometimes restock SOME items.
All of the staff I have interacted with is extremely nice which is what is giving this hotel a 4 instead of a 3 star.
Definitely room for...
Read moreAs soon as we checked into our room we noticed that it wasn't extremely cool we turned down the thermometer and came back and realized it had gone up instead of down. We let the front desk know and they sent up the maintenance man. Not a ton was done he just opened the ac and said it was because it's so hot outside that it couldn't keep up. We figured if that was the case it would get cooler when the sun went down. We went to dinner and came back and at this time it was up 3 more degrees. It was stuffy and hot. We went back down to the front desk and let her know. She said there was nothing that could be done because the maintenance man went home and they were fully booked. We were there with our 3 small children and didn't want to go to sleep and have the temperature just keep going up. It was frustrating to hear that nothing could be done and that we either had to live with it or find something else. It was very inconvenient that at 8pm we had to search for a new hotel and pay more money. We planned to go to Legoland the next day and we were staying there for the convience and now we had to find something that was farther away. The hotel itself was nice and so was the room. It was just frustrating that nothing could be done to fix our room or...
