LoveBird Almost Famous Chicken — Restaurant in Winter Haven

First time visiting the Winter Haven location, and it was a disappointment.

When we first arrived, we weren't surprised to see a line out the door. This is common for LoveBird. The line length of people is the same at the Lakeland location, but we anticipated that the line would move quickly like the other location. We were wrong.

It took us 1 hour and 20 minutes of waiting in line to order, that is unacceptable. They only have one cashier taking all the orders. You'd think it wouldn't take that long because they give you menus beforehand. Just look at the pictures as to how many people are seated (no one) compared to people standing in line! Even outside there was no one seated.

Fine, the wait was long. Well at least the food will be the same! NOPE. We always ordered what we usually order. And the chicken tasted overly salty. It didn't taste how it should. And for the dirty fries, the cheese sauce was way too liquidy, it made the fries soggy. The other location's sauce was creamy, how it should be.

We frequently go to the South Florida Ave location of LoveBird, we even went on opening day! Our favorite chicken place in all of LAKELAND. We never had a problem there, from the service, to the food. Even the lines there never took this long, and there was always people constantly sitting and eating, going in and out! We thought the quality would be the same at this location, it was not.

They need to better train their staff, or think of a more efficient way of taking orders. We have no idea why our visit to this location turned out like this, when the Lakeland location is perfect. Everyone, I would just recommend to go to the Lakeland location instead. You'll be getting your food faster, tasting better, it's worth the extra drive if you live in the winter Haven area, or else you'll be waiting 1 hour and 30 minutes for your overly salty food. honest review of lovebird very nice seating inside and out friendly customer service. we decided to order the big velvet was a chicken sandwich with chipotle honey mustard sauce with gouda and bacon and a hot honey drizzled on top. this sandwich was okay the cook on the chicken was to perfection it was glistening however wish i tasted all of the flavors they said it would have, it lacked seasonings and the sauce overpowered my bread but not to worry bc those dirty fries really hit the spot man the cheese and dill ranch combination on them really was chefs kiss and chives and bacon added on top brought all the flavors together and the chicken plate with three tenders medium heat a sweet pickles two side i chose the gouda mac n cheese and tangy slaw, the portions of tenders were really big so if you like paying for your portion this would work, the cook on the meat like i said was really good man chicken wasn’t dry at all it really glistened it just lacked the flavors for me however the sides were amazing the gouda mac n cheese was creamy, smooth had the perfect amount of breadcrumbs i enjoyed it and the slaw was exactly what it said tangy which i loved it was very fresh and crunchy.
