Went to this outback a couple of weeks ago with my boys and had a really good meal. Ordered ribeye and it was spot on as was the service.
Went back last night with the family. Ordered the bone in ribeye and my older son ordered the ribeye, no bone. When the food arrived, my steak looked amazing. My sons steak looked like it had been boiled in water. Both ordered med rare. my sons steak was literally raw in parts. My steak was literally 1/3 fat, 1/3 tendon and 1/3 steak. As amazing as it looked, it tasted like it was cooked on burnt grease. We didn't complain and ate what we could. Surprisingly without asking or complaining, the young manager, said she was a co-owner came over and asked how the meal was. I advised her it was disappointing and showed her what the steak actually was, not looking to get a discount or free meal. She made the excuse the bone in was I believe she stated it was "wild cut." I'm 58 years old and I've had a lot of steaks. Her excuse for the poor quality was insulting to my intelligence. I've been here several times before and for the most part, the steaks are okay. Two weeks ago, it was spot on, last night, lesson learned. For a $30 steak, I expect most of it to be edible and not burnt tasting or raw.
The bill was paid in full and a $50 tip for the waiter. Heard him tell the customers at the table behind us he had a flat that morning. We try to bless people when we can. Tip a good server and he was.
To many places around our area that serve a much better steak for that price. I'll go back to Harbor Side, long horns or Texas roadhouse before we come back here. Not looking for a refund, a discount or an email address. Not even a response.
Come on Outback, you're better than this. Take care of your customers and they'll take...
Read moreRecently I stopped in to outback with some friends and coworkers out here on business looking for a good dinner after working long days. Unfortunately that would not happen. We came in a little over an hour before close and we were greeted by Daniel as our server. He took our order of waters and sodas and then disappeared for about 10 minutes. Finally we received our drinks and promptly ordered our dinner. We all work in restaurants and have a lot of sympathy for other restaurant workers but tonight was unacceptable. We waited for our appetizers for almost 20 minutes and we had given our dinner order when Daniel returned with our drinks. We waited for another 10 minutes before Daniel came back to tell us that he had lost our order and never actually rang it in. So we reorder dinner at about 40 minutes into our visit. The managing partner Jamie happened to stop by and ask how we were doing and we let her know exactly our situation. Instead of apologizing she insisted that the new machines in the kitchen would cook our $30 steaks in only 3 minutes and we would get our food soon. That was not very comforting… we waited about another 12 minutes just to get our soups and they came out just above room temperature. At this point we had been there for almost an hour and had no food and only room temp soups. So we called for Jamie and explained we would just rather leave, to which she decided to berate us for wanting to leave. She was still insisting our steaks were only 3 minutes away….. we told her we just wanted to go and she decided to be rude and tell us off for wanting to leave. We asked her name and she claimed she was the managing partner…. Honestly if that’s the leadership they have, I don’t blame Daniel…. Save your money....
Read moreWell where should I start and too be honest I've normally have had a GOOD experience overall here everywhere else I've gone. The waitress my family and I had was completely horrible ZERO customer care and too be honest no commonsense on how service should be provided. She kept us waiting pretty much the whole night and you would ask her for something as little as a refill or napkin and it would take 15 minutes. When the food came out mind you close to 30 minutes later my wife's plate was somewhat ok to be honest but mines seemed to have been done for quite a while and just sat. Again I had to wait another 10 minutes just to be able to complain about it. I showed her how the steak wasn't cooked correctly and how the food was lukewarm and not HOT. She said that she'll just have it remade but that took another 10 minutes well better then before and this time manager came out with the plate. Per her own words she brought it out cause she manager saw it sitting and couldn't find the waitress. She had me re verify that it was HOT and that the steak was cooked correctly which this time it was but NEVER offered to take care of at least it for the inconvenience. By this time I had lost pretty much my hunger and just chose to eat the 5 - 6 pieces of steak that was in the pasta and took the rest home. Unfortunately I we were NEVER checked back on from the manager to see if everything else ended being OK and trust and BELIEVE the we will NEVER visit nor refer anyone back to this one location. I'm SORRY but if your gonna pay over $70.00 for dinner for your family you'll like to receive GOOD genuine service and...
