Black Phin Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Winter Park

First off, points for being a local merchant and having plants. The interior was cute, as expected, with a little haphazard nature to the layout. Unfortunately, the rest for me was so-so.

I went in at 2:55 on a Sunday, tried to order something decaf, and they couldn't do it. A bit weird for a coffee shop, but I rolled with it knowing I was mainly there to read. The service seemed a bit brusk, but I know that running a place can be hard, so again no hard feelings.

Literally two minutes after sitting down the woman who took my order came over and asked me if I had any trash she could clear. I'd just sat down and the only thing on my table was my drink, so I was like "no thank you?". She then said "Just so you know we're closed now" and walked off.

I'd come in just to read, and that had to have been obvious when I ordered. I was genuinely surprised they hadn't warned me. Plus, the drink wasn't anything I planned on actually drinking since I can't do the caffeine that late. So this was super disappointing, and the whole thing had a bit of a weird vibe. The place had 15 other people who clearly had no idea either. They went around and kicked everyone out.

Bonny was awesome! I was not sure what to get but she let me take my time and answered all my questions and guided me to the perfect order!! She was super helpful, efficient and patient! Excellent customer service!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I got the classic viet coffee w/ condensed milk and added ube foam! 💜 the coffee was delicious but it wasn't too sweet!! I had it with a miso toffee cookie 🍪😋

Very chill spot! Arrived early in the AM and there were plenty of seats!! You can get work done, relax and journal, or catch up with friends here!! Yes, they have wifi!!!

But please note, they do not have outlets for charging.

The barista was very helpful and informative about the whole menu. She truly went above and beyond !! The place was such an aesthetically pleasing jungle of plants and vibes. I truly enjoyed my start of the day here!! I would definitely come back next time on vacation!
