Update: 8/12/25 I've now been able to enjoy the food from Cairo Express Many times! So I wanted to actually rate the food, which is delicious! So far my favorites have been the Falafel and the grape leaves! The Falafel is probably the best I've ever had, nice and moist interior with lots of green herbs, and Crispy Crunchy outside. I suggest eating them right away! So Yummy 😋 Both the hummus and the baba ganoush are quite tasty! The meat pie sandwich (Hawawshi) was really good with a blend of gound lamb, beef, herbs and spices. Unusual blend of flavors that I've not tasted before, and I enjoyed it! I'm looking forward to trying everything on the menu! I only gave four stars, simply because I've asked to order /purchase additional items, extra sauce, or to add an item to my order.. such as, I would like to try their pickled vegetables. so I asked to pay for some on the side, they said they would just put some in the order, no problem. But I've asked three times so far, and have never had whatever I've requested, actually be included in the packaging.... Ohhh well 🤷♀️ I'll keep trying though! 😉 👍
Service is fine, it's a food truck 🚚 And the folks taking the orders and cooking are So kind, and very patiently answer all questions. Also, it seems as though they have started to allow ordering ahead online, which will be wonderful! I'm Not convinced that this will work... Like how often do they check the social media accounts for people ordering food? I guess I'm old-fashioned, I'd like to either call up and place my order, or have an actual app that shows that my order has been placed, and when it will be ready...
Atmosphere... It's Really rough in this Summer Heat, being outside in a parking lot 🔥 😰 so hopefully the ability to order ahead will help remedy some of the heat wave conditions wafting up from the asphalt, while waiting for your food outside 🌞
7/14/25 at 11:15am, the Hours posted on Google maps say you're open, drive over and nothing 🤷♀️ please Update your business hours online/Google and IG. I'll update the rating after eating at Cairo Express. Location was easy to find. But no phone number or contact info, so unfortunately I had to leave this review to reach out to you. Hopefully I can try the food...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting The Cairo Express on their grand opening day, and I have to say — it was an amazing experience from start to finish! As soon as I arrived, I was welcomed with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere. The staff were kind, patient, and ready to explain the menu for anyone new to Egyptian street food.
I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and a side of falafel, and everything was cooked perfectly! The spices were authentic, the bread was fresh, and the flavors took me straight back to the streets of Cairo. The free dessert was a lovely surprise — sweet, rich, and the perfect way to end the meal.
The 20% grand opening discount was a great touch, and the food truck setup is clean, vibrant, and easy to find at 658 Wymore Rd in Winter Park. You can tell they put a lot of heart into what they do.
This is more than just food — it’s culture, tradition, and passion served with every bite. I’ll definitely be coming back again and bringing my friends!

Read moreI had the chance to visit a hidden gem of an Egyptian street food restaurant in Orlando, and it was truly a flavor-packed experience!
We tried a variety of dishes, starting with the hawawshi — a crispy, golden flatbread stuffed with spiced minced meat. The balance of herbs and spices was spot on, giving every bite that comforting, home-style Egyptian taste.
Next up was the shawarma — both chicken and a mix of chicken and beef. Juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned, the shawarma was wrapped in warm, fluffy bread and paired with delicious sauces that elevated the entire experience. Each bite carried that authentic Middle Eastern street food vibe — smoky, savory, and absolutely satisfying.
Overall, everything was very delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned, making it one of those spots you’ll definitely want to come back to. If you’re in Orlando and craving authentic Egyptian flavors, this restaurant...
