I have been meaning to write this review for quite some time. Warning - long post and I do hope Home Depot reads. While I do like shopping Home Depot, the sub-contractors they work with are unprofessional, rude, do not complete the work that is paid for, and in one instance, I feel that they were dishonest. I bought a really nice washer/dryer combo earlier this year in January (LG, stackable, ~$2k spent on set). Home Depot does not actually deliver their appliances. I truly wish they did. Instead, they use sub-contractors. The first delivery was scheduled for 2/16/22. On day or arrival, the two men arrived to deliver the appliance. The first man came in the house to measure everything. Okay, this part is fine. However, the other man came running to the front door to let us know that our appliance was damaged and to come and see. He showed us a large dent, almost looked like someone had taken a key or drill and made a circular deep dent on the front dryer portion. How convenient. He recommended that we not accept delivery and that Home Depot would ship us another one soon. We did not accept the delivery that day and waited for the second one to arrive. However, I was really skeptical about the ‘damage’ to the front of the appliance. Guess what? My house is equipped with outdoor cameras all around it. Upon watching the footage, it was clear to me that the man that came running to front door had purposely damaged the unit, with what sounded like a drill - our cameras also pick up audio. I was pretty upset but Home Depot needs to know they partner with dishonest companies. Anyway, upon second delivery, on 2/26/22, two completely different men showed up, assuming this was a different sub-contractor based on the truck they drove. These two men were rude from the beginning, refused to install the new cold/hot hoses nor did they install the new vent, and told me that everything would ‘be fine’ and that I ‘don’t need new hoses.’ In reading about the appliance, it voids the warranty if something happens and you don’t install the new vent and new hoses! So, I did call Home Depot customer service and explained everything. They did confirm that the new hoses/vent needed to be installed and rescheduled service to come back to my house to install everything. Unfortunately, they sent back the same two men and to say they had a chip on their shoulder is an understatement - they were angry, rude, and condescending towards me. They admonished me for having them come back out again and then said, ‘didn’t you hear what I said? The hoses are not long enough and you don’t even need new hoses.’ No, I do not recall you saying that the hoses were not long enough. All in all, they continued to be argumentative and I asked them to leave. I have never been treated so poorly by someone in a customer service position or by a delivery person. I honestly question if any of this would have ensued if my husband had been dealing with them and not me, but he was at work. I called Home Depot to report what happened but rather than resolve it, they again sent me back to the same sub-contractor, only to have their supervisor call me three weeks later to see how he could help. Why would I ever want this same company to help me again? Why would Home Depot want to send the same awful people back to my home? I did give up at this point b/c I didn’t think this would ever get resolved. While I love my new washer/dryer, I cannot buy future appliances from here knowing how awful the delivery service will be. Please take this feedback seriously, Home Depot. These sub-contractors may save money for the company, but they are terrible to...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer of Home Depot for many years and usually enjoy excellent service, products, and procedures. I truly appreciate the store and its management.
Today, however, I had an unpleasant experience in the garden section. As I always do when I buy multiple plants, I used some of the free plastic wrap provided for customers to protect my car. Suddenly, the cashier at the next register, Tatiyahna, stopped checking out other customers, turned around, and told me I couldn’t take more than 6 feet. I actually needed much more than that. She then tried to take the plastic out of my hand, physically stopping me as if I were stealing something valuable from the store. It was very embarrassing, especially since it happened in front of 5 other customers waiting in line.
This kind of attitude is completely inappropriate. The plastic wrap is provided by Home Depot for customers, and it’s part of what makes the garden shopping experience appealing. Instead of arguing with me, Tatiyahna should have continued doing her job and serving her line. What shocked me most was that she wore a badge showing a 2-year customer service award — yet her behavior was the opposite of good service.
When I asked for the manager, a young female manager came, and she was very polite, respectful, and apologetic. She offered to help me further and handled the situation properly. She reminded me of the excellent service I have always known Home Depot for. Unfortunately, even in her presence, Tatiyahna continued showing attitude and disrespect.
I wish I could give 5 stars, but because of this incident I can only give 2. I hope management takes this seriously so that customers — including loyal ones like myself — continue to have positive and respectful...

Your side sliding door for entry AND exit doesn't work on the Right side of the store. This is a flipping HOME DEPOT, fix the stupid door. It's been broken 7+ months now. This is unacceptable behavior. Especially when people such as myself want to leave, and cannot because of this nonsense. Then to have a cop who doesn't respond to us (talking to him) on more than one occasion mind you is posted at that door (watching the exit) and then tells us the door is broken. Why? Then when you tell an employee they tell you that you must pry the door open.... Uhhhh... ok.... so..... not only do I spend grossly over priced prices for products from your store when I can order it online but am to impatient to wait for it to arrive in the mail, now I have to work to get out of the store and do it for free as well? Or they say "ya we know it's been broken for quite a while now" or my favorite response to date is "Sorry, but we are aware of it, it's been broken since before I was hired here". LOL Like wow....
On this day I had to wait in line to leave your store because of the left door being screwed up, and the right door had a line to leave cause the cashier lanes were closed off, and the door that was working had gas working lifts going inside and they stopped us all from leaving, or re-directed us to the garden center which was way off from where I was parked at.
Unacceptable. Fix your stupid doors.
Your stars earned were from a staff asking if we needed help, and cleanliness of your store. Everything...
