UPDATE Although we had a poor service experience and doubted going back, we decided to give one more try to the restaurant a week later since we were hipnotized by the great quality and taste of the food. The service experience took a 360 degree change for the best.
We were served by server DAYZ A who was extremely courteous and friendly. Although there were more customers than before, she took the time to introduce herself and explain the food with an obvious interest on making us feel welcome.
Once again the food was incredible delicious. At the end, we were so incredibly surprised by the courtesy of our waitress that we told her about our previous bad experience. She apologized about a million times and showed genuine concern.
Honestly, she made the whole experience worthy of giving the restaurant a second chance. I hope the owner reads my update review to congratulate this waitresses for excellent customer service skills. She genuinely showed interest, dedication and care for her work and employer through her customer service skills. She should be rewarded and use as an example to train some of her co-workers.
First Experience
We had our first experience yesterday at the restaurant. I hope the owner reads the review. We have mixed feelings about the experience. The food is astonishingly excellent and well presented. The place is elegant, clean and well maintained.
The only bad experience that we had was the service. I used to be a waiter back when in college. Therefore, I know the importance of attitude in this line work. We were served by two waitresses that I can not determine who had the most unwillingness to serve us.
We are not that familiar with the Mexican food, so we asked for the description of several options that caught our attention on the menu. It was jaw dropping to see how unwillingly they wanted to describe the dishes. Very poor customer serving skills. It seems that they were forced to work or an extremely unhappy. We felt rushed to order anything just to not upset them.
A friendly advice to the owners, a smile goes a long way and attitude even further. The place is excellent, out of the few Mexican restaurants that we have lately visited, La Campana, is the best food wise, atmosphere, food quality and taste.
However, the staff need to be trained on the importance of interacting with the customers. It was jaw dropping the poor service that we received. We are very humble and do not require red carpet treatment. However, we were treated like the food was for free. Hopefully, this constructuve critique is taken into consideration. Bad attitude and service can badly affect...
Read moreLa Campana is an authentic Mexican restaurant that truly stands out for its excellent food and outstanding service. From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in an atmosphere that felt genuinely welcoming, hinting at the amazing dining experience that awaited.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the burrito. It was nothing short of amazing, packed with flavors that were both rich and perfectly balanced, encapsulating the essence of authentic Mexican cuisine. The ingredients were fresh, the portions generous, and every bite was a delightful journey.
The starters were equally impressive. The chips, queso, and guac were not only a perfect way to begin the meal but also among the best I’ve ever had. The chips were freshly made, the queso delightfully creamy, and the guacamole was fresh, highlighting the quality of ingredients La Campana uses.
What elevated the dining experience even further was the excellent service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and quick to offer recommendations, making sure that our meal was enjoyable from start to finish. Their commitment to customer satisfaction was evident in their demeanor and responsiveness.
I cannot recommend La Campana enough. Whether you’re a lover of Mexican cuisine or looking to try it for the first time, this restaurant is a must-visit. The combination of delicious, authentic food and stellar service ensures that every visit is memorable. Make sure to stop by La Campana for an authentic Mexican dining experience that you won’t...
Read moreI heard amazing things about this restaurant and we were so excited to have their quessabirria. We walked in and it was pleasantly slow so we figured the service would b fast and were greeted with courtesy. The waitress sat us down but took over ten minutes just to grab our drink orders. We waited for chips n salsa but we weren't sure if they served them upon arrival. A couple came in after we finally received our drinks and they were seated and immediately received chips and salsa so did the next group of people that walked in a few minutes just after. The waitress was on her phone for most of the time when she finally came to our table I mentioned why we the other tables were served with chips n salsa and we weren't? She replied with a shocking look on her face as we were rude and wrong for mentioning it...
Then she finally took our orders before all the other tables and served us stale chips with half a sauce cup of salsa. Two tables received their food in a timely manner before we did. Once I asked them after nearly an hour to just cancel the food and cash us out for the drinks she went to the back and a gentleman approached us with soggy cold tacos which I refused to consume.
Service and food was terrible, unfortunately I will never recommend anyone to this place nor b returning consumer even though we were still generous to leave a large tip wich she...
