Skewers Catering & Takeout — Restaurant in Woburn

I have been to Skewers about 3/4 times now and wanted to write them a review because they deserve the praise.

During a pandemic where takeout is everything Skewers and the staff are top notch. The establishment is safe for picking up takeout, it’s very clean, and the staff is so respectful.

Now on to the food, my wife and I went to Greece a few years back and we fell in love with the food. Other than going back there, we searched for a few years for some ethnic Greek food that could hold it own. We went to a lot of great places but when Skewers opened and my friend said you have to try it. I thought “I’ll give it a shot”.

I’m grateful my friend recommended it, grateful for Skewers for moving into this area because it is outstanding. Best Greek food I have had since leaving Greece. The beautiful part of this place...it not just Greek food, they have other food that is also amazing (burgers, different bowls- all delicious)

My favorites are the lamb, chicken, beef skewers are amazing, the spicy feta has an amazing kick and so flavorful. We got the seasonal Watermelon, feta salad- a must try when they have it. The gyros with the Greek fries- a huge hit in this household.

I’d give 10 stars if I could, listen I don’t post reviews, in fact this is my first. I feel that during these hard times and seeing that Skewers is trying to open a restaurant for takeout and bring a little joy to people with their wonderful comfort of food, that deserves my respect and my review.

Show them some love you won’t be disappointed. I recommend and fully support this place.

Well...

Food = delicious. But prepare to DOUBLE & TRIPLE check your order before leaving and eat it cold/reheat it when you get home because of lack of quick/efficient service. I've gotta agree with the other reviews regarding not ordering on a Friday night because they just don't have their s**t together.

I placed an online order at 5:50pm for (2) beef/lamb skewer meals with a side of grilled veggies and fries for pick-up at 6:20pm. I arrived at 6:20pm and my order wasn't ready yet. Proceeded to wait 5 minutes, then was handed a huge order of family-style skewers (not what I ordered). The guy took them back from me and gave me what he said was the "correct" order, which was again wrong: missing a whole entree.

I then waited 15 more minutes in the hotter-than-hell restaurant (which has tables to dine-in, but only the devil himself would be comfortable eating in), and was finally given my missing entree, in which everything was thrown in one styrofoam box together---my side of fries were soggy and gross when I got home. For $15 for a 2-skewer plate, I expect fresh and hot food!

Overall, the beef & lamb skewers have delicious flavor, fries (when properly delivered) are crisp and fresh, but the service/execution is SEVERELY lacking. They either need to hire more help and/or get a bigger kitchen (and preferably add in an A/C unit) if they want to keep customers coming...

15 years ago I used to eat at a Skewers near my office regularly. I still remember it to this day so when I saw Skewers2GO was near my new office I couldn't resist trying it. This was especially true when I learned it was the same company I remembered.

I ordered the "Skewer Box". It was a bit pricy for lunch but worth it. The salad serving was just right. The fries were excellent. The skewers were generous serving sizes, each with 4 pieces of protein and a mix of veggies. The skewers were so full that there was nowhere to hold them until you ate the first piece! They were tasty. I even ate my tomatoes and I don't usually like tomatoes! I think I preferred the chicken to the steak, but I'd have to try them both again to decide.

The meal came with pita and your choice of sauce. I chose the hummus for my sauce and while the serving size was a bit small, it was tasty and worth getting again. The pita was toasted yet still light and fluffy. It wasn't the dry cardboard I'd gotten at other restaurants. I have no idea if the pita and hummus were purchased or made in house, they were good regardless.

I would definitely order again. I just wish it was...
