Overall a pretty terrible experience. My wife and I received a gift card for our wedding over the weekend and we were excited to go back since we'd had a really great experience at the Burlington location.
We showed up at the door initially where a customer unsurprisingly was complaining to a clearly disinterested manager that their to-go food was wrong. Nobody in sight even to back him up as three more tables came in behind us. We are ignored for a good 5 minutes while this goes on. We ask for a table of two and the manager tells us 25 minutes. Yet, I'm looking around and seeing multiple open tables. Now, I was actually a server during the COVID years and sympathized with being understaffed. However, this is where competent management steps in.
YOU seat the customers, YOU take the drink orders, YOU bring the drinks, and YOU let them know that a server will be over shortly. Instead, he took our number down (incorrectly) and we waited for half an hour until we walked back to have seen everyone behind us had been seated. Manager apologized after clearly having taken down the number wrong (Imagine asking again or repeating it to avoid these issues like any 10th grader who works at a pizza shop?). We let it go however as mistakes happen.
We are sat. Now mind you, we were out all weekend for the wedding. Server seemed annoyed my wife wanted a water initially so I ordered a beer hoping to snap the tension a little. Order went in, took well over a half hour, food was good but still we are ready to leave as this process has now taken almost 2 hours on a Monday night.
Server brings the check, we give her a gift card and our credit card. She runs ONLY the credit card. By this time, we just want to go home and don't feel the need to chase people down. Considering we've been such a bother giving the manager our correct phone number (that was apparently VERY confusing) , being polite and patient while assuming they're understaffed, being made to feel bad for not drinking, and then not having our check ran correctly because...reasons?
The Burlington location is exceptional and the food is for all intents and purposes pretty good for the price point when your staff is more personable and better trained than an IHOP night shift crew. This location is ultimately an Applebees in a top hat. The spirit of the Woburn Mall survives in this...
Read moreIt is unfortunate that I have to write this review, because I wasn't expecting to be so thoroughly disappointed with my experience. While I waited a few minutes for my server, the manager was kind enough to try and fix my wobbly table. That was really nice of him though not necessary. It was maybe 5-10 minutes before my server showed up which seems fine. When she did come by, I put my drink order and my food at the same time because I had already decided. And from that point, my server just disappeared and did not show up again to my table. My food was brought to me in a reasonable amount of time by a food runner. I was hoping to get a refill on my drink mid way through my meal but unfortunately I kept waiting. All the while the server who was in charge of my table kept going back and forth to other tables while completely ignoring mine. Eventually I finished my meal but I was not presented with my check after about 10 more minutes of waiting and I had to flag down another server and ask her to help and a manager brought me my bill and I settled up and left. I can understand if the place is really busy and there are limited staff running the place and everyone ends up waiting longer than usual. That didn't seem to the case. But I could clearly see my server go back and forth to other tables multiple times refilling their drinks, checking on them etc. Also, the server who was managing the table right next to me was going above and beyond which just made the situation all the more frustrating. I guess I will never really know why this happened. Dining experiences are subjective, but I have never had a bad/terrible experience at this restaurant or its other branches. I will have to think twice if not more before coming back here. I wish I could have given 0/5 to...
Read moreI visited this spot last night, and here’s my take.
Upon arrival, I requested a table for one and was seated in under 30 seconds at a table that suited me perfectly—great start to the evening.
For my meal, I ordered the chicken quesadillas as an appetizer and General Tso chicken as my entrée.
The chicken quesadillas were excellent—9/10. They were cheesy, with a generous amount of filling. The portion included four quesadilla slices for about $15, which felt fair for the quality.
Unfortunately, the General Tso chicken was a letdown. While it was cooked to the right temperature and paired well with the rice, the portion balance was off. The dish came with 6 ounces of chicken and 8 ounces of broccoli, leaving me with more broccoli than meat. After removing all the broccoli, I was left with only 9–12 pieces of chicken compared to 16–19 pieces of broccoli. Totaling up to roughly $20-22. Future recommendation: even out the meat-to-vegetable ratio.
The ambiance was low-lit with sports playing on TVs. If you’re looking for a quiet, intimate dining experience, this isn’t the place. But if you’re seeking a lively, social atmosphere, it’s a solid choice.
The service was outstanding—from quickly accommodating my seating preferences to having a server who went above and beyond to ensure everything was to my liking. Based on the service and vibrant ambiance, I’d...
