Let me get straight to the point:
Pros: Location was close to the freeway but far enough from the traffic. There are a lot of businesses nearby, such as Shake Shack, a gas station, Dave and Busters, local restaurants, and grocery stores. It’s also close to a neighborhood so it’s in a quiet place. We chose this location in Woburn because it is close to Boston and it is more affordable than staying in the city.
Parking is free, safe, and spacious. Even if you arrive late at night, you can still find a parking close to any of the doors that can be accessed with a key card.
Cleanliness: We were impressed at how clean the room was that we were staying in on the 2nd floor. The towels were neatly folded, the bed was nicely made, bathroom floor and bathtub was spotless, the carpet was vacuumed, and the furnitures were dust free. The bed and the bed sheets were immaculate. We didn’t have to worry about falling asleep. The mirror was spotless and had no streaks. The room smelled fresh as well, unlike in some hotels, you can still smell the muskiness.
Customer service: The front desk people were friendly and they tried to be as helpful as possible. They make checking in smooth and easy, they also make you feel welcomed. They went above and beyond to provide the best customer service as possible. One time, our daughter needed milk and we were asking the front desk clerk if they sell milk since it was not displayed in the food selection you can purchase. Unfortunately, they didn’t sell it but she went out of her way to go to hotel kitchen and got our daughter a bottle of milk for free.
The hotel printer was not working in the lobby so they also provided for me a way to print by sending it to their company email and they printed it for me for free.
They are polite when you talk to them.
Atmosphere: My wife and I really loved the overall atmosphere of the hotel. From what it looks on the outside, it has a Boston character to it. Red bricks and a tower on the top of the hotel. Nice grass around the hotel, hedges on the side, and trees on the side removes the hotel industrial feel. The lobby was clean and it has a contemporary vibe. I like it when a place doesn’t feel outdated (that is just my preference). A lot can also be said about the cleanliness of the hotel if the luggage cart has no dirt or stains on it. Their luggage carts seemed like they were new. I felt comfortable putting our stuff on it.
Breakfast: My family didn’t eat too much food from there, but when I did go down to get bagels, waffles, and cereal, the line wasn’t too bad. The guests kept to themselves and were a quiet crowd. They had conversations but they were considerate in how they communicated and respected other guests. The breakfast room was clean and the workers kept the counters mostly clean and not messy.
Cons Housekeeping: They will not clean your room for as long as you’re staying there. It is the policy. If you want your trash thrown and towels replaced, you have to put out your trash and used towels outside your room in the morning. For replacement towels, you have to ask them for it and get it yourself.
Amenity: There is a pool outside but it is closed and had a tarp covering it. The laundry room was closed, it would’ve been nice to be able to use the laundry while we were there since my family and I drove for several days to get to this place and had laundry accumulated during our trip.
Final note: Overall, my family and I really liked this place. It had a homey feel to it. You can easily access local businesses you need to go to from this place. Boston is not far from here. Oh, and don’t mind the curry smell in the 1st floor hallway, it’s probably from one of the workers and there were worse smells from other hotels we’ve been to. You can easily ignore this one.
We hope this review helps you in deciding whether or not you would like...
Read moreI stayed here a couple weeks ago. Check-in was at 3; we got there at 2:46ish so I called the front desk just to make sure it was alright to get checked in. The phone was answered by Nikita. After I asked she mumbled and answered under her breath so I was like “I’m sorry I couldn’t hear you what did you say” and immediately she responded with attitude “YES like I said”.. okay so we went to check in. I had lost my id that morning and it was explained that I couldn’t check in without it. I asked if there was anything else to do and was told no. When I was reading off the confirmation number and waiting for her to look up/see if she wanted to read it from my phone another female employee was like “give it to her” rudely..I don’t know if she wanted me to throw the phone at her it’s not like she was looking up to receive the phone. After we had gone back to the car we called to see if there was a corporate number or anyone to speak too…anything we could do so we weren’t throwing money out. Nikita had answered the phone again. I asked if there was a manager I could speak too. She said he was on break and I said that’s ok and that I’d wait. While we were waiting I was like “and just checking there’s like no email or website to contact anyone” at this point she took it to the next level and said “as I f**king said” I cut her off and went “ohhhh okay. Is this a recorded line?” She said “yes” at that point I asked her name to which she replied Nikita. Then I said “id like to speak to the manager now please”. When we spoke to the manager he was extremely nice. He said that they would handle the situation themselves. He also said that we would be able to change the name that the reservation is under as long as they have their id” this hadn’t been offered as a solution before. We went ahead and did that. The manager’s name was Andre. Him and a new employee that was training were both polite and professional. There was no reason for the other girl’s attitude from the jump. Other people who had been staying at the hotel agreed that she has attitude problems and was rude to...
Read moreI booked 2 nights at this hotel, then on the first night I decided to extend my stay because I had a late night event on the second night and really wanted to be able to sleep in afterwards. I spoke with the front desk on the first night and asked to extend my stay. They said it would be 400 for a third night, which I thought was very steep but I agreed to after I stressed that it was very imprtant to me not to be disturbed on the final day so I could sleep. I was told not to worry and that no one would disturb me. I asked if there was anything else I needed to do to make sure housekeeping didn’t come to the door. They said not at all, they would communicate that with housekeeping. I then agreed to pay the $400 for one night so I could sleep all day after our event. That morning I was awoken to pounding on my door from housekeeping. I said I didn’t need housekeeping and tried to go back to sleep, they continued pounding and shouted through my door “did you extend your stay?!”. I was so disappointed, awake well before check out time. At this point I could have just checked out instead of paying an extra 400 to sleep there for the day. I looked on the official website of the hotel and saw that the listed price for that same evening was $280, not 400. It really upset me to know I paid more than was listed in order to be woke up when I specifically chose to stay in order to sleep. I went downstairs to express my concern and the person at the front desk named Gio was extremely rude and demeaning when I explained my predicament. He spoke down to me and asked if I’ve ever stayed in a hotel before when I expressed that it wasnt fair to charge me a price higher than listed when I only agreed to stay on the condition that I not be woken up and was assured I wouldn’t. He was condescending and sexist, speaking to me in a very different tone than he would’ve if I was a man. He also spoke rudely to his female coworkers who were much more sympathetic to me, telling them to “be quiet” and “stop talking”. This is not...
