Made an appointment for today at 5 and arrived at 5 on the dot. I told the lady up front that we had an appointment at 5 with a specific stylist and she said that the stylist was almost finished and that she would call me over when it was our turn. I pointed out exactly where I would be waiting by the window and she said she would come over and call me when it was my son's turn. The stylist is finished cutting the little girl's hair and before I know it I see another boy being told to sit in the chair. I thought okay maybe they had an appointment before us so whatever i'll wait a bit longer. Minutes pass and the stylist finally finishes with that boy and again nobody calls me so I walk over and wait to speak with the receptionist. Meanwhile the stylist walks past us and goes outside to call someone else in (unbeknownst to me). As she's walking back in she notices that it's my son (she's cut his hair multiple times before) and asks if we have an appointment today. I reply yes we had one at 5 and she asked if I can wait because she had already called someone else in and it might be a while. I wait 3 more minutes and at this point it is already 5:40 and I say forget it. I walk over to the receptionist and tell her to just cancel my appointment because i've had people skip me and I'm not wasting anymore of my time in which she replies sorry we're just busy today. DUH I knew you people would be busy today which is why I made an APPOINTMENT. My poor son kept asking when it would be his turn while we waited. I'm upset because we really liked this stylist that has been cutting his hair for almost a year now but the service we received today was unacceptable. We ended up taking my son to a barbershop where we made a last minute appointment and were treated...
Read moreOur 3 year old son is on the spectrum with sensory needs and this was his first time getting a haircut at a professional place. We usually do it ourselves at home but he's going to be in a wedding so we decided to get it cut at Kidz Kuts. We called in advance to ask if the stylists had experience with special needs kids and were assured all their stylists would handle him with care. However, we were assigned to Jackie who was not good with him and she did not listen to us at all. We told her that he can't verbally communicate and he has a hard time with haircuts. She didn't ask how we wanted it but we made sure to tell her to keep the same style, just a little shorter and to clean it up. I said that he has a flat spot on the back of his head and to leave some length in the back so it's not as noticeable. She said ok but proceeded to cut it short and use clippers to take the entire back off. He was screaming and she kept speaking loudly to distract him which made him more agitated. She did not try to calm him at all. She rushed through it and only took 5 minutes total because it seemed she wanted to get the next waiting customer. She cut it too short all around and didn't even it out at all. She just globbed gel on his hair to hide how badly it was cut. We didn’t realize the full extent of it until we were home and after his hair dried from a bath. This was a horrible experience for both our son and us. The wedding is 3 weeks away and I'm just hoping it grows out enough to style it. Here is a before and after. We won't be...
Read moreI just came with my nephew and we asked for a fohawk from Dippa and our experience was horrible. Yes my nephew does not enjoy getting a haircut just like many other young boys, so yes he was fussing and crying and screaming, like other kids that were there. It's never any easy thing for my nephew to get his hair cut, but when you're going to KIDZ cutz you're expecting for the employees to have patience and understanding of the customer needs. My sister showed Dippa a picture of the haircut she wanted on my nephew and it was not what we received at all. The whole process was horrible to watch from the nasty looks, the wrong cut, the pinching on his leg (my sister turned away for one second to grab him a lolipop and Dippa tried to make my nephew sit again by pushing him down while my sister wasn't looking), she cut his ears up and the shape up on the front is uneven, she took off all of his sideburns when in the picture that was showed to her the sideburns were just faded. Like I said before yes he wasn't sitting still he was fussing and crying but Dippa was also just rushing into it and felt like she just wanted to get it over and done with instead of having the patience of doing it correctly with taking the time to calm down my nephew instead she scared him more with the hard grabbing and holding down and weird looks. I am very disappointed with the service that...
