The pho soup is only second best to my Mom’s homemade pho (and yes, I am biased :-). I had the pho with filet mignon and oxtail. The beef broth was clear (not too fatty) and savory without being too aromatic. Star anise can be overpowering if it is overdone, but in this case, it was just right. The filet mignon and the oxtail were soft and tender. It was an excellent dish. I also had the Com One, a rice dish with generous portions consisting of pork chop, fried egg, egg roll, etc.. The rice is in the form of broken rice...different and very tasty! I would prefer my pork chop slightly less marinated, but with that said, it was good. Nice to have another Vietnamese restaurant in the area. I will definitely be trying this place again.

Update 05/17/19:

I wrote my first review without actually stepping foot in the restaurant. This evening I had the pleasure of dining with family at Pho One. The restaurant is bright and very clean, modern in design. The service was wonderful. I tried a few appetizers: the spring rolls, a salad dish made with lotus stems, carrots, shrimp, etc., egg-rolls, and the smallest chicken wing I have ever seen. They were all very good. That small chicken wing btw packed a powerful, flavorful punch! For entree I had the duck/bamboo noodle soup. It was perfect. There was a good portion of duck and the broth was yum! I have to mention that I usually feel lethargic after dining out, perhaps from msg(?). Not here. I felt as though I had satisfied my stomach and delighted my senses...

If you want authentic Vietnamese food, then you have to come to Pho One!!!

The food is simply amazing!

We love all their broths/soups. It’s not overwhelming with spices like most places. You can taste the natural sweetness of the broths, which is really important in a Vietnamese soup/noodle soup dish. You can tell the chefs really care about the food they put out. It looked great, everything was super fresh and tastes amazing.

I understand that they just opened, and a lot of reviews are frustrated with the services. Understand that they just opened and was probably just working out their kinks. We were there last night (Friday night), it was crowded but we had no problems with services whatsoever. So don’t be discouraged by the reviews about the services. Give them a chance! The food is really amazing. You won’t be disappointed!!

This pho restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese flavors served with a side of exceptional customer service. The food here is simply phenomenal. Each bowl of pho is a symphony of flavors, showcasing the chef’s dedication to crafting traditional, aromatic broths and fresh, vibrant ingredients.

But what truly sets this place apart is the outstanding customer service. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The staff is incredibly attentive, ensuring your dining experience is nothing short of fantastic. They take the time to cater to your needs and make you feel right at home.

The combination of mouthwatering dishes and impeccable service makes this restaurant a standout in the area. It’s not just about the delicious food; it’s the entire experience that keeps me coming back for more. Highly recommended for a memorable and satisfying meal coupled with...

Easily accessible from the Parkway and only Vietnamese restaurant in the area without having to drive up to Linden or down to Edison. We had the P1 (w/ filet mignon & ox-tail) and P3. The filet mignon and ox-tail meat was very tender. The noodles were generous. Broth was flavorful, maybe a tiny bit saltier than others but good. The space is large, clean, and modern. Customer-Service-wise, we went on a weekday night so it wasn't crazy busy but the restaurant was 60% full and everything was fine. Since they're brand new, I'd be easy on them anyway. I saw the owner with another table who was brand new to Vietnamese food and he took the time to explain the menu, teach them how to eat the dishes, and check in with them - I appreciated seeing that customer service.

I come here often, but I always forget to leave a review. I absolutely love this place!! Each time I go, I get oxtail pho then I add filet mignon, beef ball and get a grilled pork chop on the side. Yummy!! FYI: vegetarian broth and veggie options are available. As appetizers, I order the lemon leaves chicken wings (extra crispy), the summer rolls, grilled pork rolls, or shrimp egg rolls; which are all great options to start with. My son usually orders the grilled chicken broken rice and other times he gets the beef banh mi (sandwich). And no meal is ever complete without the young coconut water and the Thai tea!! I definitely recommend this place — it’s delicious and very moderately priced.
