Wish they had a 0 star option. I rarely do reviews but when I do I make sure to express myself thoroughly. I dont have names but I will say this is referring to the manager in duty at this time of writing. I've come to this McDonald's on more than one occasion using a survey receipt coupon and have been able to successfully redeem other McDonald's receipts in this particular location without hassle. This particular day the manager on duty decides he or she wants to make it an issue to redeem $1.59. If I were in any big business of customer service I would get fired immediately for giving a customer a hard time for $1.59. I wasted my gas and time to come there to do what I normally do, but on this day the manager wants to make it clear that since the coupon isn't from here, and they dont offer that type of coupon anymore, I can't redeem it. I did not make a big fuss or fight and I didnt even ask to speak to whoever the manager who told the employee that they couldn't redeem it. I simply left and got to this review immediately. If I were asking for a free meal I would absolutely understand. And whatever happened to, "I understand that you've used these receipts in the past here and that shouldn't have been the case. I will honor this one this time, but please know that we no longer accept these." Oh, I guess that's too much for a manager to get up and come to the window to say something to a customer face to face. It's a lot less burden when you can send someone else to say "no." This place used to be my regular spot, but me nor my family will ever set foot here again. It may not mean much to this establishment that I am choosing this since the owner and manager make their money regardless, but it means a lot to me where I can choose to stay away from a place where the customer service from the manager is an...
Read moreMy visit to the McDonald's at 1256 St Georges Ave, Avenel, NJ 07001 on the morning of September 3rd was incredibly disappointing. I used the self-serve kiosk to order two cappuccinos around 9:30 am. We patiently waited at our table for nearly half an hour, growing increasingly puzzled by the delay. Finally, around 10 am, we decided to check with the counter staff, only to be informed that they had run out of cappuccinos. To add insult to injury, they offered us black coffee instead, which we reluctantly accepted.
But the real frustration began when the manager approached us. She appeared confused and questioned whether we still wanted the coffee. We reiterated our order, but her confusion persisted. She even wondered why we hadn't reported the issue earlier, despite our initial inquiry at the counter. What followed was she half-heartedly delivered one black coffee for the two of us. Upon which we promptly walked out.
This experience was a stark example of poor service, miscommunication, and a lack of professionalism. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this specific McDonald's branch on St Georges Ave in Avenel, NJ, as it left us thoroughly dissatisfied...

The kid gets a nasty attitude as I look at the app browsing through the awards and deals section. He had the nerve to say to me that I should have looked at it before I pulled up. As if I can do that while I am driving on the road. I placed my order and gave him the code. He added two extra items onto my order that I had never asked for. He then takes it off after I notify him. But then starts to be a smart ass when I kept saying that my order is complete, he kept saying “oh you want apple pie? “ and put it on my order. Then takes it off, then adds fries, then takes that off then added four Big Mac meals. I finally drove away.
