Horizon Inn — Hotel in Woodbridge Township

I had the unfortunate experience of staying at this hotel recently, and I must say, it was an utter disappointment from start to finish. Firstly, despite booking a room specifically advertised with a hot tub online, upon arrival, there was no hot tub in sight. When I brought this up to the manager, instead of offering a solution, I was told I had to pay an extra fee for something that was supposed to be included in the first place.

To make matters worse, when I tried to reason with the manager, their daughter emerged and began yelling at me, accusing me of falsehoods and disrupting the peace of the establishment. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy displayed by the staff, especially at 1 AM, was beyond appalling.

Absolutely. Not only was my stay at this hotel a nightmare, but I am also compelled to leave a scathing review to ensure that other paying customers avoid this establishment at all costs. It's clear that the management lacks integrity, and the behavior exhibited by the staff is completely unacceptable. No one deserves to be treated as I was during my time there, and I wouldn't wish this experience upon my worst enemy. Consider this review a warning to all potential guests: steer clear of this hotel if you value your time, money, and sanity.

Overall, my experience at this hotel was one of the worst I've ever had as a customer. From false advertising to rude and confrontational staff, this place has managed to excel in providing a terrible stay. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this establishment unless you enjoy being treated with disrespect...

This was my first visit to New Jersey or New York City, so I was looking for a place my colleague and I could stay and make it into NYC.|When I pulled up to the hotel and walked inside I was a little worried. The lobby smelled of cigarette smoke and the clerk was sitting behind a glass safety window...great, TripAdvisor had steered me wrong and what kind of hotel did I book were the first things running through my head.|The was quickly dispelled when the clerk quickly checked me in and even offered to help with the bags (which I was a light packer and didn't need any, but it was wonderful to ask).|I was still worried when I climbed the stairs to the floor and could still smell cigarette smoke and a slight odor when entering the room. |The room/bed were very nice! The odors were quickly eliminated with the A/C and a spritz of odor eliminator spray. The room was very clean, though my blackout curtains didn't close all the way so the street light was shining in all night (this happened to be a blessing as I could then see when I needed to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night).|The pillows were to soft for my liking and could use to be replaced.|There were plenty of toiletries and other necessities, I'm sure the host would have gotten me whatever I needed.|Worth the price and a pleasant stay. It's conveniently located near MetroPark Station for a trip into NYC (I'm sure there are other stations closer with parking, but this was my choice). Parking is free, which is a blessing...

This is my second time here while visiting family in Staten Island. The first time I came here was a last minute choice in July 2022 because my flight was delayed and my abnb was cancelled but it was easy to obtain a room. Kinda expensive for only a few hours(3am-12noon) for one bed and pull out couch but rooms was very clean and the staff was friendly.

The only problem I had was the fact a worker was putting up a TV next to my room at 8am and I just checked in hours ago that woke me before the late checkout of 12 noon. The same day checkout was different to me to and if I knew I wasn't getting 24 hours like the other hotels I usually go to. I would of went and found a cheaper place to stay because $140 & up with tax is to much for a few hours.

Now my second time here was way better because I got here earlier than 3am and my price was more reasonable and I got two beds. Yes! Room was clean, roomy, and very comfortable.

All rooms are on the second floor and they do have smoking and non-smoking rooms. I will say they very clean even the smoking rooms. The staff here takes good care of...
