Roosevelt's Deli & Catering — Restaurant in Woodbridge Township

I came to this establishment today. Me and my husband wanted to try something different. Upon entering the spot there was no friendly smiles or warm greeting period. We began to order apparently a girl was working on the register that was new she was totally clueless... She took our order for aleast 15 minutes because she didn't know how to enter things correctly a into the computer... My husband and I was very understanding because apparently she's new.... But the other girls weren't intervening to help out during this fustration... So after some time one lady came over and I began to ask her questions so she could help...I was ordering straight from their menu things that was already in the description ... But she said it would be a upcharge.. so we're like ok no problem... How do you order a breakfast burrito but everything that's in your description is a upcharge supposedly... But anyway upon paying the clueless lady my husband put the money in her hand... And in return she takes the receipt and place it down on the counter and walk away.. After we stood here patiently for 15 min. That was very rude customer service. Now the food was good.. But customer service goes a very long way so I don't believe we will be back because of the poor service we received.. It's a shame because we drove all the way from linden to try this spot out...2 stars only because the food was good.

Update I was giving and opportunity to come back an basically get a do over from Mike the manager who issued me and my husband a $10 gift card for the service we encountered at this establishment... We ordered 3 breakfast burritos with turkey bacon... Long story short we drove an hour away to receive not all the way cooked pork bacon in a burrito in it that we didn't ask for.. And a piece of hair ughhh😩😩😩😩🤬 so digusuted this place is horrible... Who don't cook their pork bacon well on top of hair in food.. All 3 burritos in the garbage I wish I could give this...

I will never in this lifetime or the next lifetime order from this place ever again just because of the delivery guy to talk Caucasian man with the long here he is very rude very disrespectful very unprofessional. He delivered to my house the first time and he demanded for me to give him money stating that they only pay him $4.00 an hour and that he has to do maintenance by his self with his own money and put gas in the car with his own money. The second time which was last Wednesday he came and delivered food and I gave him a tip and he demanded more money stating that if I don't want to give him money I should go pick up my damn food that's exactly what he said to me he was very rude and very disrespectful yelling cursing in front of my doorstep and fun of my toddler child very disrespectful neighbors have to come out to see what was going on I have it on video I will be uploading the video very soon !! Then the worst thing that happened is I called to complain about it I spoke to the general manager yes the GM he seemed very careless of the situation and did not seem to give a damn or two rats ass about the situation and the fact that I'm paying for food to be delivered and then I'm getting disrespected because somebody is not being paid right I told them if they're not paying you right leave your job and find another one . I decided to wait a few days before I wrote this review. The experience I had here has happened a couple of other times and it’s just hard for me to understand how there is a breakdown in communication from somebody entering an order for sandwiches with two ingredients and getting it with only one of the two ingredients. I ordered two breakfast sandwiches with just meat and cheese on toasted rolls with butter and pepper. I got to my truck and unwrapped the first one up and there was no cheese. I looked at the second one and realized that that one had no cheese as well. I went back in and asked them how something like this could happen and I did express that that’s why I don’t like to come here. It had been quite a while since I had been there because the last time I was too far to come back to have them fix the sandwich which again was missing cheese. Maybe it’s just me, maybe the combination of sandwich I was asking for was too complicated. They offered to make it again. I didn’t want anything. They refunded my money.
