Fords Park — Attraction in Woodbridge Township

I had a fantastic experience playing pickleball for the first time yesterday. There are 12 pickleball courts all next to each other. The crowd was oh so energetic. As I arrived as a new comer I was inmediately welcomed by some of the players and town residents waiting for their turn to play or just resting. I received all the information needed and although I didn't have a partner I did bring in my practice pickleball and just started to play by myself in court #9. Usually, the unreserved courts are #11 and #12. Reservations are to be made the week before and one must be a member of the WCC. If you are not a member you just go with the wind and land a free spot if there is any. That's what I did and I had a ball!! Very friendly crowd. I will go back for sure. On my way out I was approach by a town police officer that was cheching in and asked about my experience....

Ok, you see this park to the fight of the turnpike entrance off of Old Post Road, but it's only a peek. Hiding behind the new Wawa and Aldi, this is NOT a small park. A set of 2 basketball courts, 2 baseball fields, a football field, 2 tennis courts, cute trails to walk (or run), a BBQ/cookout section, 2 gazebos, and hiding to the right are not one, but TWO street hockey/street soccer rinks??? And all the fields have bleachers to boot?!?!? Very impressive. They have two jungle gyms, one for 2-5yrs old and another for 6-12yrs old. Very cool park that's out of the way, and looks "cute" but is quite large and has a ton of stuff in it. If you're in the Fords/Perth Amboy/Hopelawn trio intersection area, this...

A small park which has it all...a little stream flowing by the woods will give you a wild charm, the rows of trees & sunlight beaming through them makes it looks so perfect & all the more beautiful, the center of the park has a pond with a small fountain which provides a peaceful setting for just relaxing and enjoying the beauty of nature. Its so peaceful & cool & there are benches for BBQ-ing, trakcs & trails for jogging & dog walk, it has Street Hockey Rinks , tennis Courts ,Basketball Courts,a Baseball field & all are well maintained , the kids play area is clean and perfect with clean restroom area and ample...
