Best Pizza, just do take out~!!! Not so great restaurant. FYI you pay at the counter, self service on the soda machine (no ice.) Young lady came to table 3 times and once after I waved her down. Once to take order, once to bring plates, once to bring food. We where one of two tables in the whole shop, wonder why, should be a sign to the ownership that on a Friday night why are we empty. Employees set at the bar counter and chatted the whole time. I felt I had to apologize I didnt know the to-go boxes where left out for self service on the empty lunch pizza bar. AC unit sounds like a industrial warehouse fan and is just as cold, great if its a 100, not so great when its 80, like it was so loud I had to raise my voice or lower it based on if it was running or not. I miss the Old Red Savoy on St Paul at 7th/52, I was in there 3-4 times a month, with salt of the earth people and staff. I dont need fussy stuff but with service/facilities like this I would say TAKE OUT ONLY! Best Pizza.... they would blow everyone else away in the business if they could just do the service piece. The employees should thank God to Red who left his great Pizza recipe... it is all keeping this...
Read moreRead all the other one star reviews, it’s all true! Reds Savoy is not what it used to be, if I could give zero stars I would. $3 for water in a sit down restaurant? Since when? Dry wings that are not tossed in sauce at all but you can choose a dip, including Buffalo, ranch or honey mustard, who dips bone in wings in honey mustard? A $26 pizza what was slid onto a tray into a pile and served to us that way? When we refused it we were offered a replacement, which somehow all fit in a ten inch to go box and we were still charged full price. They gutted the arcade to put in more tables and yet we were the only table seated at 6pm on a Friday night, this used to be a place that people would wait for a table to open up and it wasn’t even that long ago, not sure who owns this location now, but they are driving off the locals, word must be getting out about how bad they have ruined the place. I wish I had the option of sharing pictures of what was brought to our table and the replacement they gave us when we refused it. Save your time and money, go somewhere else,...
Read moreWow.....not a great experience! My wife ordered for pickup and the guy said 25-30 min. I arrived in 30 min and proceeded to wait another 40 min before it was ready. The crew on 9/5/2017 needs to go back to pizza school....if you are running behind say so, don't give the canned answer of 25-30 min. Please learn how to cut a pizza as well. This pizza weighs half as much as the 7th St location...not much cheese and the sauce didn't taste the same. I almost drove back for a refund. The top was burnt on half and cheese barely melted on the other half. Watch your ovens! I would actually prefer to drive farther to get a good pie. We will probably not be back as this was the 4th bad experience out of 6 orders from this location...Savoys on White Bear Ave here we come. The White Bear location pie is 2-3X heavier than what you get in Woodbury. Please send your teen employees to the White Bear Ave location to learn how to make a great pizza!! We will miss the original 7th St....
