I honestly wish I could give this place negative stars. The experience from last night wasn't even an experience, it was disheartening to say the least. Having a reservation for a party of 25 made days in advance and confirming it hours before hand, my family and myself expected to have a wonderful dining time before I flew back home to Tampa.
Sadly, the "manager" Victor who knows nothing about even managing his look, professionalism or personal hygiene, allowed rookie mistakes to ruin everything for more than half of my family members in attendance. There was a complete misunderstanding amongst Victor's staff as to whom our server was going to be and who would be assisting him/her which resulted in half of the table receiving their food and finishing their meal before the other half received their food.
Victor stated to myself(Whom was paying for everything), and my uncle who originally asked to speak to a manager, that it was solely the fault and responsibility of the server who originally started with us and that she was most likely going to be fired. When he stated this to me, it was mentioned that he should be the one fired, not her. His total disregard to own the situation as well as attempting to right the wrong was a slap to the face of not just me or my uncle, but my entire family. No, no one starved to death but with it taking only 10 minutes for half of the table to receive their food and then the other half not receiving their meals until almost an additional 35 minutes had passed and those who had received their food in a timely fashion had already finished eating, it made for very awkward table setting/conversation and a a very more awkward Christmas dinner with my family.
Victor should be terminated. Hands down. Not just because of this instance, but because of his total disregard for everything that matters in the restaurant industry with the title of manager. No manager should ever blame their staff, not apologize for the staff messing up and not come to a real and reasonable solution.
Not a single person in our party of 22 will return to any of the restaurants owned and operated by this company ever again and we will be sure to tell the world about the terrible management staff who...
Read moreIf we didn't get a great service I would of gave the blue margarita a 1 star. Kudos to you waiter for providing such a pleasant experience last night. Here's what I felt flawed my experience at the blue margarita, so just like any other Mexican restaurant you start off with the classic chips and salsa which is always a greatly received tradition but the salsa almost tasted Italian Oregano and basil must of been in the blend ; an unpleasant surprise to my palette but I wasn't going to let something so minor base my opinion on the rest of meal. I look at the menu and notice the prices are higher than I'm use to for Mexican food. I ordered a burrito, it sounded simple enough and hopefully would be an awesome choice(I was wrong) also for a 1.50 more you can get cheese on your burrito so I added it. the protein choices were ground beef, chunked beef, chicken, or pork I was in the mood for steak, I picked the chunky beef hoping it was steak . we get our plates not long after we order, in the center were 3 skinny rolled up burritos to left was rice and to the right was the beans. I took my first bite and to my surprise the chunky beef was not steak but pot roast. I've never tried stew beef on a burrito before it wasn't so bad but the meat was so juicy it made my tortilla soggy which I didn't want. Not only that but stew beef is a cheaper cut of the cow. For a little bit more they could of used the stir fry meat or the fondue chunks which are also cheap but it's actual steak. The cheese on the burrito was mozzarella, it was thick and stringy and had no place on my plate. Overall disappointed in the food you pay premium price for food that is cheap to make and it tastes like a weird mix of Italian and Mexican. We had a great server last night and I really...
Read moreWe stopped here on the way to Detriot to see a show. It was a spur of the moment decision, and we should have paid better attention to the current rating.
I want to start out by saying that waitress, no fault to her, was prompt and mostly friendly.
At first we noticed a sign saying that chips and salsa refills would each be $1.00, which we thought was absurd. A poor economy was listed as the cause.
Upon viewing the menu, I noticed some items that are typically cheaper, with higher price tags. Most street taco platters average $2-3 a taco, their's was $15.99. I went with the chimichanga meal.
We ordered an appetizer, the Flamming Queso, I think. It was actually pretty decent, but their "seasoned sausage" was not very good. Should have been a red flag that they didn't call it chorizo lol
My wife and I both ordered margaritas, lime on the rocks with salt. They didn't taste like alcohol, only a chemically lime flavor.
My wife's order came out incorrect, she ordered beef on her nachos, and they came out with only bean. Our waitress told us she would remove the beef upcharge.
Mine came out looking okay, but to be honest, most of it was just so so. The beans particularly were not good, and the rice was sub par. The chimis were alright.
We left disappointed. About 10 minutes into driving, I had to pull over and vomited everywhere. I dont have a light stomach, in fact the last time I vomited was 5 years prior when having food poisoning. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and for anyone skeptical, I hadn't had anything to eat prior expect for some donuts about 5-6 hours...
