My girlfriend and I stopped In for dinner after seeing some positive reviews (that aren’t friends and family). The greeting you receive for a newly opened business is rather underwhelming, no energy or enthusiasm and the “atmosphere” people are mentioning on some of the comments obviously have never been to a place with an atmosphere before. I felt like I was at an urgent care. My girlfriend and I couldn’t hold a conversation as there is no music, close seating in an echo room. After seating, my girlfriend and I reviewed the menu for 10 minutes before being greeted with “ready to order?” We found the interaction odd but moved on and placed our order. We ordered some gyoza, but the menu doesn’t disclose what the filling consists of so we had to have an additional server get information as I have a shellfish allergy and there are an infinite amount of dumplings available. Moving on to the entrees, we both ordered the steak and chicken hibachi, we found it odd that menu says if you want to upgrade to “egg fried rice” there would be an up charge, I think it was $3.50. That’s fine I’ll gladly pay for the upgrade vs steamed rice that’s included. The server did mention that fried rice is included which made things a bit confusing. Additionally I found it bizarre that soup or salad is not included with your meal. For $27.95/plate that’s little unreasonable. Digging into our entrees, we both found our chicken dry and very under seasoned, big chunks of random chicken breast and the steak wasn’t much better. Just meh. The linguine that was provided didn’t bring any value to the plate and the rice was bland, didn’t have much of garlic butter flavor profile that guests look for when they think hibachi. Tasted like it was cooked in a neutral oil and nothing on the plate had any richness to it. For a $81 tab we could have went to many different places. I hoping you find this feedback useful as small business is challenging to operate, but you have to listen to your guests.
I wish all the best!

Read moreHere's my take on Eve Sushi:
Eve Sushi is a hidden gem in Woodhaven, Michigan. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant has a modern yet cozy vibe, perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the sushi. Eve Sushi offers an impressive selection of fresh and flavorful sushi rolls. From classic favorites like California rolls to more adventurous options like the Dragon roll, there's something to satisfy every sushi lover's cravings. Each roll is beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's attention to detail.
One standout dish is the Spicy Tuna Roll. The combination of tender, melt-in-your-mouth tuna and a kick of heat from the spicy mayo creates a perfect balance of flavors. Another must-try is the Rainbow Roll, a colorful creation that features a variety of fresh fish on top of a California roll. The quality of the seafood is top-notch, ensuring a delightful dining experience.
In addition to sushi, Eve Sushi also offers a range of other Japanese dishes. Their miso soup is rich and flavorful, and the tempura is light and crispy. The menu caters to different dietary preferences, with options for vegetarians and those who prefer cooked dishes.
Lastly, the service at Eve Sushi is exceptional. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They are more than happy to make recommendations and accommodate any special requests.
Overall, Eve Sushi is a fantastic place to satisfy your sushi and hibachi cravings. With its inviting ambiance, delicious food, and excellent service, it's no wonder why it's a favorite among locals. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or new to Japanese cuisine, Eve Sushi is definitely...
Read moreI tried this place again and it was worse than our previous stop. The food is really lacking flavor and quality as I have had better sushi across the street at Meijer. For the money you are paying, there are much better restaurants in the area. I can’t recommend this restaurant at all.
My wife and I thought we would try this new restaurant. It is a strange setup as there are tables but no table service for ordering. You have to walk up to the cash register to place your order and give them your table number. They do deliver the food to your table, though. Drinks are soft drinks that you get from a dispenser. We had two salads with sesame dressing, which were good but $5.95 in crazy expensive for a small salad. We also ordered the Tuna Jalapeño appetizer, which was 5 pieces of tuna, a slice of jalapeño, a dot of siracha, and some thin noodles and ponzu; pretty flat in flavor. We have three rolls: Spicy California, Double Spicy Tuna, and TNT Roll. The TNT was $14 and very small! The other two rolls were fairly lackluster as well. If the food continues at this level, I don't see them staying open very long. Based on this visit, I certainly would not return. Opening jitters? Maybe, but prices and portions have me doubting it. The other reviews really makes me question if they have had sushi before. Maybe the hibachi is ok? To each his own, I guess.
It also seem very odd that all the reviewers for Eve's Sushi don't live...
