Dining in now available! I've been here before the Covid lockdown and the experience was average. The food was average... the service was average... etc Holy smokes... fast forward... What an Incredible experience! Recently went in and everything has changed... the service is unbelievably attentive and accommodating... full on customer service! It felt like 5 star service in a fine dining restaurant.... And although the atmosphere is really nice (well kept decor - beautiful fish tanks, lighting fixtures, etc) it's also very casual. The food did not disappoint... everything that everyone ordered was extremely tasty. Even the table across from us commented to the wait staff how fantastic their food tasted. My salt & pepper tofu (photos posted) and egg flower soup was all vegetarian and gluten free. So good! The almond fried chicken was tasty and the meat was tender (not Jerky texture or freezer bite flavor like some places) All was Amazing! If you get chance stop by ... it is worth it! Pleasant overall experience! Food 5+++ Service 5+++ Atmosphere 5+++ Cleanliness 5+++

Wish I can give half a star. The customer service at the front door is nasty! We ordered pick up order, and when we got home the food spilled the juice all over the bag, and leaked through the bag. My husband put the food on top of his nice shirt to soak up the spill, so it won't get into the car seats... When we got home, the bag had a whole and also one of the container had a whole. We called them right away, the front desk lady said her manager will call us the next day... no one called us back, so we called few days later... never spoke to the mgr ... same girl said there is nothing they can do and accused us of spilling the actual food. Never once apologized, and I asked why they don't double bag the to go food??? it was 4 boxes at least... she said that that is not enough boxes to double bag. I'm so over and discussed with their rude customer service, and not taking any responsibility for their actions. They just never have a kind person working the phones or the front desk. Always some woman with an attitude.

A very modest exterior belies a nicely decorated and clean dining area. I'm Chinese. I will not say this is the most authentic Chinese food restaurant. For most though, this is the American Chinese food that we have all grown up with and loved as comfort food. Which is probably why it is almost always busy. If you want some easily accessible Chinese food that's a few notches above Panda Express, many of the reliable go to places on the Eastside like Cafe Ori had closed in the past few years. Chan's kind of the last one standing. The hot and sour soup was a little disappointing. Very thin, just salty. Garlic wings were fresh, hot, crispy and garlicky. 2 thumbs up! Hubby grew up in Midwest so getting his favorite sesame beef that actually has beef and is crispy made him very happy. We also got mushu pork, which is nicely flavored and loaded with pork and veggies. We love Chan's and we highly recommend this place.

Updated Jan 2025 - quality is declining as they are paying more attention to mobile orders. Early on a Saturday exactly 5pm, the to go orders were staked at the front, waiting for pickup, most over 20 minutes while we waited for a table. Food takes longer due to to go orders, some food came out Luke warm and overcooked. Willing to give another chance but deteriorating quality. April 2024 - Always a busy place especially the weekend but managed to get seated quickly. Took a while to get food as explained by server that TOGO orders online take precedent as system allocates standard turn around time and does not take into consideration of busy restaurant. Aka, it screws the in dining customers. Food was VERY good and hot. Waiter was good, booth was a bit ripped up as I noticed a few others were too. Need a little TLC, but worth coming. Charges extra for bag to take extra food home.

Our party of 9 adults, 5 kids, and an infant were seated within moments when we walked in for a late lunch. Color me impressed! Service was quick, good came out even quicker, hot and fresh! Prices were incredibly reasonable, and drinks were available from the full bar. The pupu platter appetizer on fire was excellent and entertaining - fried spring rolls, char siu pork, teriyaki beef sticks, won ton, shrimp tempura... YUMMM!!! That in itself could've been a meal, but also perfect for sharing. The space was decorated for the season, and the aquarium was a hit with the kids. Always love coming here for the on point Chinese cuisine without the msg and course meals. Restroom was spotless and smelled clean - always a plus. Sidenote - they have a giant projector and multiple TVs in the bar set up for a great place to watch games!

Have lived in the area for over 40 years and not sure how we have missed Chans place this entire time! Wow! Tried for the first time last night. You will not find a better American Chinese food place than Chans. The food is delicious and not overly salty like other similar restaurants. We had the dinner meal for 2 which was a tremendous value. Plenty of food, even took home some. Beef with Broccoli was perfectly cooked with the brocoli not too hard and not too soft, just perfect. It had a nice garlic sauce. Meat was velveted nicely and tender. General Tsao's chicken had a nice sweet sauce. We enjoyed the fried rice, chow mein, egg rolls and BBQ pork appetizers too. Service was A++. Also high marks for cleanliness of the restaurant. We will be back!
