The Woodinville Plaza, Hair care, Tire center, and Airport...just kidding. Ypu will findcit very diverse. A place where the promise of quaint charm meets the delightful reality of… well, it depends on the day and the store , doesn't it? It's like that quirky aunt you love, but who occasionally wears mismatched socks and tells slightly inappropriate jokes at family gatherings.
On the surface, it's got all the right ingredients for a delightful stroll. You've got your charming cafes, your promise of artisanal this and locally-sourced that. You can almost picture yourself leisurely browsing, perhaps sipping a locally roasted coffee and pondering the merits of over priced comic books or bargain stuff you don't need but had to buy at Value Village because it was only $5,99. You might even stumble upon a truly unique gift, a delicious pastry that makes you question all your previous life choices, or a friendly shopkeeper who genuinely seems happy you've wandered into their haven of wonders. Some of the best food can be found at the Woodinville Cafe. On these days, Woodinville Plaza feels like a hug in retail form.
However, let's not sugarcoat it (unless we're talking about the aforementioned pastry). Sometimes, Woodinville Plaza feels a bit more stressful. The guys in the DOL seem cranky most of the time and the parking situation is hit and miss. Sometimes parking is good. Lately, not do much. It's a delicate dance of circling, squinting at vaguely marked spots, and silently judging the parallel parking skills of your fellow shoppers. It's a microcosm of Woodinville itself – a lovely place that occasionally forgets how many people want to visit its lovely places.
And let's talk about the "plaza" aspect. It's less a grand, open square for community gatherings and more a… well, a collection of buildings huddled together, like they're sharing secrets about the best wine tasting down the road. Which, let's be honest, is probably what they are doing.
But here's the thing about Woodinville Plaza: it has potential! It's like that slightly awkward friend who has a heart of gold. You root for it. You want it to thrive. You appreciate the glimpses of its charm, even if they're sometimes hidden beneath a layer of quietude or a slightly confusing parking layout.
So, should you visit Woodinville Plaza? Absolutely! Just go in with an open mind, a good pair of walking shoes (for the potential parking trek), and maybe a backup plan for entertainment in case the comic shop and Value Village is having an off day. You might just discover a hidden gem, or at the very least, you'll have a story to tell about your slightly surreal, yet ultimately endearing, Woodinville Plaza experience. And hey, there's probably some excellent wine nearby to make it...
Read moreAhh Value Village, in my view, let's say I donate ZERO to them. Their prices are astronomically high for used clothing. Hmm why do I think this? Because its all donated, its 100% free! Its also 100% profit. I drive all the way to Kenmore to donate to St.Vincent, because they need it more than Value Village, which did away with fitting rooms. You buy it take it home, it doesn't fit, you can't return it, you only get credit or exchange it for something else that also may not fit ! Going on a never ending loop. I saw ladies trying on clothing items on the floor! Good for them! About the hair salon there, meaning the same piazza as Value Village. I went for a TRIM the hair at the back of my neck. She charged me $35 for 3 min of work. I said hey the hairdresser before only charged me $10, its a trim, not a haircut! Ohh she said yes its a haircut, company policy 🥴. To this I said well its my policy never to return. Robbery, yes I felt I was robbed! The Woodinville Café? Good BLT'S A bit busy on weekends but I always had good service. The bagel place is also good, I was never sorry or disappointed fir...
